Until West Ham find out mojo again, a game against a David Moyes managed side will always have some kind of extra significance.
Layer on the pressure on Potter who looks like a dead man walking, and this game is under intense scrutiny.
It looks for all the world like Potter has two games, not to save his job, but to buy a stay if execution, against Everton and Arsenal, made none the easier by these two being amongst the best set piece side in the league....the Hammers clear achilles heel.
The stats this far have backed up the eye test...West Ham ARE terrible at defending the box, none of the keepers help out on crosses, and we give up corners willy nilly.
But if Potter is to cling on, nothing but a win here will do.

Predicted LineUp:
With Everton's prowess at set pieces, Soucek's absence, and Potter's love to tinker, I expect him to fuck around with things and go to a back five.

KWP. JWP. Diouf
Paqueta. Fernandes.
Bowen. Fullkrug.
Subs: Hermansen, Todibo, Igor, Irving, Potts, Magassa, Summerville, Guilherme, Wilson
Predicted Score:
Everton: 3
West Ham: 1 (Bowen)

And Summerville is pissing me off tonight with his lack of end product. A poor man's Kudus.

Potter choosing JWP looks really foolish right now. Magassa was decent. Wise move to not risk another yellow. Now a chance for Potts.
Makes you wonder even more just what Potter was seeing.

Paqueta is not a team player.
Magassa withdrawn because of the yellow card. He was a red waiting to happen. But looks like he voukd be a real asset
We need a central forward desperately

As ordinary as Everton are we don’t look in the least bit threatening going forward. Can’t see us getting anything out of this.
This. We've had one shot on goal all game. Pathetic.

FFS, we can't get out after a corner.
Looks like we are going to concede every time they get close to our box

Excellent cross as per by Diouf and lo and behold Fullkurg caught on his heels too slow to the ball.

The result may be the same, but I thought that passed the eye test. This is a competitive match which is more than we can say about most of our games this season and last. Much more intent in the middle and attacking third. Fullkrug is at least receiving service, and summerville is giving us another dimension on the left flank. Still need a lot of improvement and you can only polish a turd so much.
Tend to agree. Much as we should have done better with the goal was a great header. We had a couple of chances too.
We at least showed intent going forwards.

Might as well be watching Everton TV here.
Even the fucking co commentator Andy Hinchcliffe played for them for 8 years as well.
Ridiculous.

Come on Nuno, make some racket and kick their Fucking fat arses. This is not good enough.
Sub:
Igor for Kilman
Potts for Paqueta . Okay Fernandes as can
Marshall for Fullkrug
I think Nuno will give them some grilling, looked pissed especially with Paqueta fucking about wheb we had their box full of our big headers.
