Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Well seems like with all these international breaks, and us languishing, the rumours of ins and outs are rife.
Chuck anything 'worthy' of discussion on this thread...

Fuck off! Sounds like a peak Sulley special signing in January whenever I've heard one.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Sir Alf, it really is. 15 years consisting of;
- Consecutive Premier League and parachute payments
- Gifted a near free monster capacity stadium for peppercorn rent, next to fuck all maintainance or Security costs
- Selling off the Boleyn for £40M
- Selling prized assets like Rice for a record £105M, Diangana for £18M of pure profit etc
- Player sales money like Payet, Arnautovic, Haller, Scamacca
- Fans forking out for endless merch tatt, schemes and the like
- Corporate money
- Betway sponsorship amongst many others
- European gates/TV money
- Trophy prize money
- Kretinsky pumping in something like £200M investment
The Club has raked in mega money during that time across the board and don't believe for a second this is the best they can do for the Club instead of gor themselves. The sums and logic of it all just don't add up.
Instead we scrounge around for freebies and decrepit old biddies that cost little like Wilson and Wood. It's like we never left 2010 standing still staring relegation square in the face once more. Just look at the state of the Training Ground that Coufal gently points out the bleeding obvious.
SO WHERE IS THE FUCKING MONEY?!?!

Massive I lm not sure its “wheres the money” ( although the continued bleating on about sell before we buy and FFP dont help against thinking its an excuse for not spending more) its for me just the appalling way its been spent over the last 3-4 seasons. The tipping point was 2022/23 culminating in the conf win but bad league season and the enormous loss of Declan Rice who had been masking the weakness of the squad. Abject failure to replace him or strengthen the squad with Sullivan and his managers going for past reputation older, experienced players rather than young, athletic, fast prospects. The bias in the recruitment to this profile of player is the biggest cause of our current problems and demise. The midfieldhas been wanting pace, physicality, youth for 10 years. Sullivan was still hearing Alan Hanson’s “ you win nothing with kids” line 20 years after it expired. You do win things with kids longer term if you build a plan around it.
Sullivan’s psychology ( narcissistic, small man ego ) meant he also preferred getting “name” players who played or were playing for “big clubs” etc rather tyam actually research and use analysis to build something long term. The equivalent of buying a 1999 top of tye range BMW with 100000 on the clock because it had electric seats and all the best gadgets for its time. Bling factor so he could boast or show he is a “ big shot” with “name” players not young unknowns more befitting of small clubs like Bournemouth, Brighton etc

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Reading rumours of Chris Wood maybe arriving. 1st off we are in a desperate sorry position thanks to BS which is why we have to look for bargain fossils lurking about in the bargain basement bin - 15 CUNTING YEARS OF THE SAME SHIT NOW.
That said, even though I'm not happy with the mismanagement of it all, like Wilson I've always liked Chris Wood as a Striker and wish we had him in his prime. I do think like Wilson he can still do a job when at his current age and think his Premier League experience would be invaluable.
Shocking we are even having to contemplate such signings though, like we haven't progressed 1 bit from 2010 under these Club killing wankers. It's 2010 all over again.
OI SULLEY, WHERE'S THE FUCKING MONEY?!?!

You can see from a mile off how this will play out, Fullkrug leaves - teams know we’re desperate - Wilson gets injured - we struggle to find a replacement until the end of January.I'm glad he's gone was always a shit signing, shame it's not permanent.
Because he's so obsessed about his own needs and wishes of being a part of the German squad for the World Cup which said a lot about his selfish trait in prioritising what's important, I'm hoping he'll manage to turn it on in a handful of games nearing the end of the season so he might be able to hoodwink Milan in to buying him permanently off the back of the loan. Wouldn't put it past him, that is if he manages to remain fit for longer than 5 minutes for them. Knowing our luck he'll get injured on his first appearance by accidentally twisting off his own ears coming on as a Sub, the fucking weirdo.
I’m certain he will stay fit and bang in 10 goals for them. It just happens that way with strikers for us.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
I did warn Fullkunt was a signing to be swerved but his former work colleague Steidten couldn't help himself resisting the opportunity to bring him here. Knew it would be an expensive disaster due to his shit medical history and over-exaggerated career. Like I said back then, Borussia Dortmund couldn't believe their luck and so us coming a mile away. Thick as fuck management in keeping with the BS Regime of old. And if Milan cannot get much use out of him either, then send him to the knackers yard or make him in to glue.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Good article here on Fulkrug naming him as the worst Premier League signing of all time but this paragraph is especially true of the idiots in charge, including the idiot manager as well.
Strand Larsen would be another typical Sullivan purchase, bought from the relegation cesspit on a lengthy contract with no thought of how he might actually fit into the team.
In an era where top-flight scouting is sophisticated and youngsters are prioritised, the punt on Fullkrug was something from a bygone era where major tournaments acted as shopping channels.
Fullkrug is the poster boy for a club still operating in the long 2000s. With all the context, he is the worst signing in Premier League history.
Fullkrug leaves West Ham as the Premier League's worst ever signing

Origi had a few super-sub moments for Liverpool during their Champions League win in 2019 but ever since then he has been very underwhelming. I wouldn't pin any hopes on him to give us or anybody else a boost in a bid to avoid relegation to be honest. He was good for 5 minutes and it stopped there so what does anybody expect 7-8 years later?

‘Alarm bells ringing’ – West Ham emerge as ‘strong contender’ to sign €12.7m player
West Ham United are in the picture to sign Boca Juniors’ Milton Delgado.
That’s at least what El Intransigente are reporting, and they cover how West Ham can sign the 20-year-old in the winter market.
The defensive midfielder was part of the Argentina squad that lost the U20 World Cup final to Morocco in October. Since this tournament, he has featured regularly for Boca Juniors.
Delgado’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed in Europe and has attracted interest from several European clubs. West Ham have been added to this list.
It’s claimed Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have emerged as a ‘strong contender’ to sign the player. The report says that’s why the ‘alarm bells are ringing’ at the South American club.
As things stand, Boca Juniors haven’t received a formal offer from the Hammers or any other club. However, there’s expectation that a proposal ‘could be imminent’.
Delgado’s contract is until December 2028. El Intransigente report his release clause as of today is $15m [€12.7m] and Boca Juniors are looking for a similar amount to sanction his sale.
Earlier claims mentioned Brighton & Hove Albion as an interested party ahead of January.

If we are somehow able to gain 6 points we are not just back with Leeds but suddenly right in it with about 6-7 other clubs, which is incredibly helpful. We are then not just beholden to the form of one other club. Big ask to get there but 11th to 17th is only separated by five points.
However we absolutely need to beat Fulham and Brighton.

Can we stop poncing players from relegated sides for a fair bit of dough as we are still suffering from forking out for Summverville from Leeds, on top of every kther relegation roger clone. Then we wonder why our Squad with it's fragile mentality aint good enough and up to the task for our relegation battle..Not sure you've read it properly, or I've phrased it properly.
It will be a championship signing if we go down; a player to get us back up. It's not a suggestion for now or the PL.
I'm still hoping (forlornly maybe) we still stay up at Leeds expense who I think will get relegated come the end of the season, so if that is the case I hope we stear clear of keep scavenging the remains of a relegated sides carcass.
