NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Breece Hall is a fucking class act at RB, too. Picked him up in round 2, yet he was first-round quality. Long way to go, but his cousin - Roger Craig of 49ers fame - would be pleased with his start in the NFL. Jets drafting in the last two years has been excellent. Credit to Saleh, who mostly went 'hands off' (Sauce the big exception) and let Douglas deliver on that."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Where Saleh does deserve credit is the improvement to the secondary this season. He and Douglas identified Sauce as their big #1 target in the draft, but he also picked up some hard-hitting and experienced safeties and CBs (Reed, Whitehead etc) in free agency. It has made us tougher on pass defense. By all accounts, Saleh sought those guys."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"The big improvement to the Jets has been on offense. We have a few weapons and ideas these days. It's refreshing after years of abysmal offense. No offense to Saleh, but that's unlikely to be on him. When he fully nails the improving defense - and I hope he does - then we might be a proper contender. Could still go either way this season."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Grump - not so sure it's all Saleh's influence on the Jets just yet. His play-calling is still often bang average. What's changed is the quality of players has gone up several notches. We drafted some really talented youngsters and landed good free agent signings. Zach Wilson has caught fire since coming back from injury. He's mixing it up, hitting good receivers and the running backs are alternating well. By Saleh's own admission, Joe Douglas (GM) nailed the draft (as he did last year) and it is paying off. The defense, supposedly Saleh's area of expertise, is gradually improving, in all fairness, after several false starts (and too many penalties) - so we're moving in the right direction. Right now, I'd say the 'star' of the Jets mini revival has been Douglas and talent like Wilson, Wilson2 and Sauce. But there's little doubt that Saleh is finally stepping up. Can't remember the last time we were 4-2 and looked like we deserved to be 4-2, as well."

"No complaints from me today""¶. Mariota played lights out and our D couldn't stop the run""¶.. Well played Atlanta""¶.. Niners have a lot of work to do""¶""¶.Thankfully the rest of the NFC West is shit too."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Even with all our injuries shameful letting the falcons score so many. Mariota is shit!! And considering lots of people were cunting Salah before giving him enough time to stamp himself on the Jets, don't seem to be doing too bad now he has done."

"Thanks to the Kelce super show I am top of the league! That's despite leaving 95 points on the bench already this season (worst in the league for that). May as well milk it while I can, because it surely won't last. Need Tua back almost as much as Miami too."

"The ESPN article has these fun quotes ""The NFL is a mafia,"" [Snyder] recently told an associate. ""All the owners hate each other."" ""That's not true,"" one veteran owner says. ""All the owners hate Dan."""

"I hope this is the beginning of the end for our scumbag owner (this, from the washington examiner)......... 'sexual misconduct and other allegations mount against Washington Commanders owner Daniel Snyder, he reportedly believes he has protection against punishment from NFL upper brass. Snyder has told confidants that he has amassed ""dirt"" on key figures within the NFL that he believes could ""blow up"" several NFL owners and even threaten to harm commissioner Roger Goodell, ESPN reported. He amassed the purported intel during his 23 years as owner of the Commanders and is adamant that he won't go down without a fight. ""They can't f*** with me,"" he has told associates, according to ESPN. Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) claimed associates of Snyder compiled a dossier of ""dirt"" on individuals who alleged he engaged in bad behavior. In addition to the ""shadow investigation"" allegations, Snyder has also been accused of sexually harassing a former employee in 2009, the Washington Post reported. This included demanding sex and trying to take off her clothes as well as groping her, per the report. Snyder has denied the allegations, but his team reached a $1.6 million settlement with her. Many NFL employees who have worked with him described him as ""paranoid"" and fretted that action taken against him could elicit mutually assured destruction. Fear of his blackmail has made him ""the most powerful owner in the NFL,"" a source surmised to ESPN. ""[Snyder sees] evil lurking in every shadow and around every corner,"" one associate told ESPN. News of Snyder's purported belief that his ""dirt"" on NFL brass could shield him from discipline comes against the backdrop of the Oversight committee investigation into him. In a letter sent to the investigative panel last week, lawyers for Snyder decried the inquiry as a ""hatchet job"" as some speculate the inquiry is winding down. Snyder reportedly testified before the committee for nearly 11 hours over the summer."
