May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.
Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?
Window this close season comes in two parts:
Part 1: 1st June to 10th June
Part 2: 16th June to 1st September

Has anyone seen this keeper play?
All the reports of those that watch and know Brazilian football are bigging him up, as opposed to a few of you on here, interested to know how you've come to that conclusion?
Doubt it. He's barely played any first team football throughout his career.

Sullivan or his kid have been watching the CWC on channel 5, checked how cheap we can get him and thought 'that'll do'. He's played at the CWC don't you know.

He's got quite a decent amount of GAFFS in him for such a short playing career.
FWIW, I think if we get Hermansen, then we'll likely pay too much for him and have our pants pulled down. I think if we buy him for the reported amount, then it makes him something like the 3rd highest fee paid for a GOALTENDER from the Championship.
Why has he only just started playing in a football team at 29 if he's not been shit?
I've no idea, just read that he was brilliant last season. He may have been second choice somewhere and waited for a chance and took it.. But honestly just a guess. He may also still be shit, I'm just saying a bit of research suggests he isn't. If we sign him we'll find out soon enough I suppose.
His video reel looks like a Fifa 95 goalkeeper glitch. Does he ever catch the fucking ball?
One of the highlights on his show reel was a player heading the ball wide of goal and him diving for it but not touching it, if he can't even find enough saves to make a 5 minute reel then we are truly fucked.

I'm not sure this keeper is shit, looks decent and from reading up on him seems well rated over there.
I'm also not sure we should assume Potter wants the other keepers, I find it hard to believe most of the shit I've read this window, for one I've never thought we were in for Elliott.

Even if Sullivan didn't keep sticking his oar in then the manager would still have to work within a set (and no doubt very tight) budget.
Hermansen may well be his top target but if Leicester want too much for him then they might figure it's better to go for a cheaper option so they can afford to spend more in other areas. Pretty much every manager or director of football in the world has to deal with the same thing. No one gets their top target every time.

Is it coincidence if we sign a coach and a former player of his is then linked, unless we were linked first I have no idea. Of course I'm not putting it past Sullivan to do this as it's definitely believable and easy to jump to that conclusion. Just that I haven't been convinced with any of the noise coming from the so called Itk this window.
His agent according to a quick Google
John Victor's agent is Guti Football. The goalkeeper, who plays for Botafogo, was reportedly linked to Premier League clubs like West Ham United, Manchester United, and Tottenham, with his agent, Pedro Gutierrez of Guti Football, stating that European clubs, including those in England, were interested in the player,

Getting that specific coach in combined with Leicester readying themselves seemingly to sell would indicate that he wanted the lad from there. He's the latest in a line of managers learning the Sullivan way of doing business. 'You ask me for player x for 20 million quid who you think would be perfect for us and I'll think about it and then counter with how about players y and z for 10 million between them who you've never mentioned but I happen to know they are available, and I'll keep the change? Lovely stuff. Now let me just call Will. Off you pop down to put some cones out then.'
Possibly but it's an easy 2+2 because we've employed a goalkeeper coach that has worked for him before?
Surely every goalkeeper coach has worked with other keepers we can't sign them all and all these rumours about them readying themselves and us buying all come from the same sources, you may be right but I'm not convinced.. Lots of bullshit about isn't there.
Of course it's not a slam dunk but let's be honest a lot of people were connecting the fairly straightforward seeming dots between us and the player. Bit of a weird coincidence otherwise, no? It's entirely possible Potter wants him, got the green light, made the coaching moves to get him, Sullivan approached Leicester then decided in usual style to fuck it off because he thought he could get a 'better' (cheaper or more beneficial) deal elsewhere regardless of what the people he's employed as experts in the field think. Neither of us knows really, I grant you, but it seems logical he was the pick at least from the manager with the available evidence.

I just hope that the goalkeeper that we bring in will be who the manager and goalkeeping coach want and will be an upgrade on Areola. Not based on YouTube clips, who his agent is and because he is cheap. But based on what has gone on before I’m not optimistic.

Yes lets bring him in and by October he will be on the bench after a number of calamities.
Have we learned nothing from Roberto Jimenez? Pay cheap pay twice.

Yeah well, Fabianski spent years as an Arsenal reserve and didn't become a regular until he was 29 either.
In his first full season this John bloke helped Botafogo win the league for the first time in 30 years. No idea if he's any good or would adapt to the PL but a bit premature to call him out as shit.

We might as well get Big John Bosh in goal. We can pay him in pie and mash and Chinese takeaways.

Does feel a bit like Roberto. Both have Valladolid on their CV too.
That should have been a lesson that you can’t skimp on keepers.

Sullivan probably thinking having a goalie with a first name last name worked out so well last time that he wanted another go. I mean the price was right last time, and it's as close as he's likely going to be able to get away with this time. KERCHING.
(Yes for any of you pedants I know Roberto isn't technically his surname...)
