So ignorant!

Trump is bringing manufacturing back to the USA. FACT.

I think you’ll find there is a bit more to the $500 billion Apple switch.

Once again showing just how little you know.
I know they won’t be making iPhones.
Trump may well get more favourable trade terms, nobody knows yet……… not even you with your magical Indian trade deal.

but what he won’t be doing is manufacturing iPhones or laptops or toys or clothing or the vast majority of semiconductors or solar panels etc etc etc.

Yeah I think anyone with half a brain already understood that we wouldn’t be manufacturing everything in the USA ffs. It’s like talking to a child. And like many with half a brain we also understood that we wouldn’t pull everything out of China. My guess is it will be enough to MAGA!
I also expect Fetanyl production to be a big part of any new deal and I P laws to be addressed along with dumping. China has been taking the piss too long and thankfully Trump has the balls to stand up to them.

Not sure a man without any balls will understand my last point, but you never know.
Anyone with half a brain? Does that include Trump who said the US would be producing iPhones?

Better informed 😂 😂 😂
Good one.

Why I’m laughing is very simple:
Trump said tariffs would bring manufacturing back to the US.
Trump said his tariffs would mean iPhones would be produced in America.
They didn’t.
All Apple did was switch where the shipments go.
So now they won’t be producing iPhones in the US, but the iPhones you do get will be a bit more expensive.

Thats why I’m laughing.
So ignorant!

And they won’t be manufacturing iPhones. It would cost something like $2,000 to produce 1 phone.
AI facilities don’t produce iPhones.

Motorola opened a factory in 2013 in Fort Worth in an attempt to manufacture smartphones. It closed within a year due to high costs.

Here you go limited one.

https://get.ycharts.com/resources/blog/ ... c%20growth.

Apple's $500 billion U.S. investment, announced in February 2025, is a significant move to expand its operations and manufacturing footprint within the United States. This investment aims to strengthen American innovation, manufacturing capabilities, and job creation, particularly in AI and advanced manufacturing. The plan includes building new facilities, expanding existing ones, and boosting investments in various sectors like AI and silicon engineering.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Focus Areas:
The investment focuses on AI, advanced manufacturing, and silicon engineering, including the construction of a new 250,000-square-foot facility in Houston to produce servers for Apple Intelligence.
  • Job Creation:
Apple projects creating thousands of new jobs across multiple states, with a specific focus on research and development positions related to AI.
  • Supplier Partnerships:
The investment also includes expanding partnerships with suppliers across all 50 states.
  • U.S. Manufacturing:
Apple intends to increase its manufacturing presence in the U.S., with the new Houston facility being a key part of this expansion.
  • Impact on AI:
The investment signals Apple's commitment to developing AI infrastructure within the United States, aiming to contribute to the country's leadership in the field.
  • Economic Implications:
The $500 billion commitment could have a significant impact on U.S. economic growth, potentially influencing capital allocation and fixed-income trends

As I said I’m better informed than formed than you.

Why would I be embarrassed to have voted for the party which gained a huge majority? If I truly believed in them why would I be embarrassed? They won by a mile.

apparently because I can tell the difference between employer contributions and employee contribution that means I voted for them.

btw it was the conservatives who cut NI. Because I know that does that mean I voted for them as well?

Pretty easy to sit there and have a debate as a so called neutral. I’ve been transparent from day one, you either stand for something or fall for anything.

We all know what you have fallen for. Good luck with that because it’s only gonna get a lot worse.

Globalism for one. Liberalism for another or should I say Socialism.

Believing what your oppressive Gov’t are telling you. You know the Gov’t you are not allowed to criticize.

Liberal media and their constant fake news that you constantly repeat.

Your left wing brainwashed opinion of Trump. You’ll believe anything you read as long as it is Trump negative.

Yeah you’ve fallen for plenty.

I'm not sure you understand half the words you type.
socialism? I was the one defending a cut to benefits and you were criticising it!! Who’s the socialist?

You approach this stuff like supporting a football team, you’ll only ever support one side of anything depending on your team.

What deal has Trump agreed with India?
Apple already produce iPhones in India. They switched their shipments destination to avoid paying the Chinese tariffs.

I phones being built in India now for the American meat remember?

This was when all you had to argue was I phone production and nothing else. Probably a few pages back on this thread.
OR are you gonna lie again and pretend you didn’t mock Trump for the deal?
So you’re comparing the uk agreeing a trade deal with India to Apple re jigging their shipments destination to avoid Trumps tariffs?

yes I laughed about it because it made him look silly for claiming that the US was going to produce iPhones.
No you made a big deal about it at the time. My position has always been I’d rather the US move all Chinese trade to India, it makes the world of sense.
Apple has announced a $500 billion investment into the USA so don’t know why you’d laugh at Trump?

what it shows is you’ve been brainwashed with TDS from the fake news networks you pretend you don’t listen to.

Just another example of your true colours you are trying desperately to hide……Coward! Own it at least you’d have some self respect.

No more desperate for a trade deal than Trump is I would say. Who wouldn’t want a mutually beneficial deal with the fastest growing economy in the G20.
The UK economy actually grew more than the US in Q1 although that’s nothing to write home about.

As for taxation, no it hasn’t gone up. It actually went down last year. Employer contributions have gone up.
If you look at taxation + healthcare contributions as a % of GDP the U.K. is pretty much in line with the USA.
Sounds like you’re a bit defensive. Your true colours are shining through. Confirms everything Ive been saying about you. Your dirty little secret is out!

My dirty little secret that I can read some numbers off a graph or table? Or that I understand when taxes go down instead of up?

Yeh you got me there.
No all along you’ve been fence sitting pretending to lean right, however it’s apparent that isn’t the case. You’re just embarrassed to admit it because you know it’s a losing hand.

I got you from day one.
