"I watched Eurovision with Will Farrell. It had it’s moments but overall it was a fat, sweaty mess. Hotel Mumbai is on my list to watch this month. I think I will enjoy that a bit more."

Watched Resistance the other night not a bad film about Marcel Marceau the French mime artist. Apparently true helping kids escape from the Nazis.

"Hereditary is shit. However, it has comedy value so worth watching for that. Parasite is very good. An original storyline and something a bit different to the norm."

"I liked Hereditary. The most shocking flick I've seen recently was Uncut Gems, mostly because I avoid anything involving that tit Adam Sandler - but this was recommended to me and it's actually superb. Pretty much a 2 hour full on panic attack"

"finally watched HEREDITARY. not sure what to make of it, it's definitely well made but I struggle now to get on board with any film that has no likeable characters. for annoying actresses, it's hard to find one to compete with collette"

"Recently watched 'Official secrets', Kiera Knightley's latest offering. Pretty decent, it won't win any Oscar's but shows what a deceitful bunch of shits Tony Blair and his cronies were about the Iraq war! Now were the fuck are those weapons of mass destruction??"

Watched 'The Hunt' last night. Some horrible horror violence but a great middle and ending.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"I loved Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction & Jackie Brown (there may be one I’ve missed) but everything else of how I’ve seen is bloated and self indulgent. I particularly hated Hateful 8 in that style. Said at the time that if Once Upon a Time in Hollywood had been presented as a script by Quentin Bloggs it never would have been made especially not with the actors involved. To me the only interesting bits and any tension were if you knew the Manson story. Otherwise it was too long and self indulgent and a waste of the cast. He obviously doesn’t know any women and seems incapable of writing them as characters That said Margot Robbie did her best with a woefully underwritten part as Sharon Tate. Watched a documentary the other day about Charles Mansons musical ambitions and his dealings with Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys & his idea that the Beatles were prophesying a race war with Helter Skelter so there is a very interesting film to be made rather than Tarantinos revenge fantasy."
Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"Well after the discussion about ""Once Upon a Time"" below I thought I would try it out tonight. Never been a Tarrantino fan, although I must confess I loved ""From Dusk Till Dawn"", but no this didn't do it for me. Seemed very long as some have said and I couldn't really see the point of it. Very slow, bizarre and whilst you can't fault the acting I personally was very bored with it. Just not my cup of tea."

Brad Pittt beating up Bruce Lee? Have a fucking word with yourselves.
Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"""Theres a good film there somewhere but it's an hour overlong"" Again, nail hit on the head. A good mate of mine is a Bafta-winning movie director and his mantra is ""If I cut this will it make any difference to the film""? If the answer is no, out it goes. I could fill a mattress with the cuts I'd make on OUATIH. It's why we make very good films (when we actually make them). The budgets are so restricted it stops any overindulgence. A great example is 'El Mariachi' which was made by Robert Rodriguez, in Spanish, for $7,000 using his mates. It's excellent and grossed $2 million and got him discovered. Then came Desperado, the $7 million English speaking remake which pales in comparison."
