"Started The Sinner 4 (last one) It's a decent show without being anything earth shattering, but I quite like old gravely voice Bill Pullman."

"I rate Coogan, but that looks a bit too slapstick for my taste. Coogan did a film called Philomena with Judi Dench. Really enjoyed it."

"I avoided After Life as I'm not a Gervais fan, but the missus started watching it and I got sucked in. A little bit mawkish but some great lines."

Finished the first half of the last season of Ozark last night. Brilliant. They've managed to maintain the standard right from the first episode of series 1 (ala Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul).

"Years ago I used to play football with a load of actors and comedians on a Wednesday afternoon. Freeman was head and shoulders above anyone else. Nice guy too. He was filming The Office at the time and had no inkling that it would be as successful as it was. He was just delighted to be in work. Not seen him since, but pleased that he's done so well. Mark Warren also played, and was pretty tasty. Arthur Smith loved playing but was woeful. I think he was taking a lot of drugs at the time."

My only annoyance with The Responder was the annoying high pitched whistling sound that appeared every time there was tension. Not great when you wear headphones and have tinnitus!

"chim chim cha boo 1:33 Sat Jan 29 'I've never been really struck on Martin Freeman (and I don't really know why)' Could it be because he's a big-mouthed leftie with a tax-avoiding missus that he seems to insist gets a part in everything he's in. Plus he's got a punchable face, was shit in Fargo and ruined Arthur Dent."

"Another vote for The Responder here. I've never been really struck on Martin Freeman (and I don't really know why) but in this he's barely recognisable and his acting is superb. At heart it's the usual ""good cop, bad cop' story but is an excellent watch none the less. On iPlayer now."

Just started watching The Newsroom. Halfway through series 1 Very engaging though a little preachy a la the West Wing - which isnt that surprising given Sorkin is behind both.
