Gianluca Scamacca Gone

"Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham. “While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support. “I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”"

Lee. I don’t know if you watched Rice’s press conference at the World Cup. But it was pretty much a come and get me.!

"The English outfits are of course focusing on the sensational bits, why wouldn't they? Some other bits: ""But now I'm a West Ham player and, despite all the rumours, I feel good here too"" And I'm satisfied like this: the Premier League is the NBA of football. We had a friendly on Monday and I played 45 minutes. It was my first stint on the pitch after three months of inactivity and meniscus surgery. It was fantastic to be back on the pitch and I felt great sensations. I'm in top form. After last season's physical problems, I'm credited with luck. If I'm doing well - and I'm convinced I will - I'll score 20 goals. I'm working a lot and during the holidays in Sardinia I played all the days double workouts. I've seen more of the gym and the field than the sea or the beach ."

"RBshorty 10:44 Wed Jul 12 ""Bigger than Rice sitting in front of the world’s media and doing pretty much the same thing"" Considering Rice hasn't done anything of the sort, then yeah much bigger."

there's clearly a lot of talks going on with Juve at the moment so i'd be shocked if his name hasn't come up. If Tammy Abraham hadn't got injured things would be much smoother for Gianluca.

Hopefully much like the Rice deal we don’t roll over and only let him go on our terms. If he wants to leave then it should be for 30 million minimum or at the very least a big loan fee with an obligation to buy next summer. None of this straight loan with an option to buy businesses. That doesn’t benefit us and leaves us short of money to get in a replacement.

That’s one of the biggest come and get me plea’s. Bigger than Rice sitting in front of the world’s media and doing pretty much the same thing.? As others have said. It’s just a job.

"If we don't make our money back on him, we shouldn't sell, IMO. I still think there's a very good player in there playing under the right manager. However, that's one of the biggest COME AND GET ME pleas I've ever seen. Not sure I'd be suggesting he should be doing statements like that, unless it's all pretty much done and dusted already."

"Scamacca: “Roma is home for me. And Totti my idol as a child. And what player in the world wouldn’t dream of being coached by Mourinho? I am convinced that Mou would stimulate me and with him I would improve even more.” “If I had to return to Serie A, it wouldn’t be because I failed in England, that’s not the case. Simply because it would be an unmissable opportunity. No, it wouldn’t even be a step backwards for my career: our league remains one of the best.” “Maybe people don’t know it, but I played all year with a broken meniscus. Then at a certain point it was impossible to continue and I ended up under the knife. Until March, I played 27 games, scored 8 goals. It could have been better, but it could have been even worse. The Conference League win was a great joy for everyone: it was our passion from the beginning of the season. I didn’t play in the final against Fiorentina, it’s true, but of course I feel the Conference is mine. I scored 3 goals in the Cup in 7 games"

Scamacca was never going to be a long term solution. Sassuolo wasn’t going too flog him to another Serie A team. (At least not for the price they wanted.) We saw a short time fix and hopefully a little profit. And the player got a nice wage increase. Unfortunately injury and Moyes put paid too them dreams. And that’s where we all find ourselves today.!

"In the La Gazetta interview he did yesterday he says: ""My return to Serie A would not mean that I failed in the Premier League. This is the NBA of football. People don't know it, but I played with a broken meniscus"" ""On Monday we had a friendly and I played 45 minutes. It was the first piece on the pitch after three months of inactivity and the meniscus surgery...' Rest is behind a paywall."

"Like EVERY other player who dons the shirt, football is just a job for them and everybody wants their job to match their (not your) ambitions. Again, for the hard of thinking: watching professional football is a leisure activity (for you); playing professional football is an income source (for them). Try to not conflate the two."

"Another great signing by Moyes & Newman last summer. Fact is the bloke isn’t good enough for this league, he certainly isn’t good enough for a side like us anyway. Still think we should get Broja if he is over the injury."

From the country that bought you “Dodgy Accounting.” And the Football club that practically boasts about doing such practices. We ain’t getting £35 million out of Juventus.!

He’s not injured. He played the other day. I’ll have a bet with you now that he moves to serie A before the end of the window.

Look it's easy to come up with all sorts of shit about what might happen with Scamacca. Thing is he's ours and I'm sure we don't want to lose the bulk of the £35m we paid for him. It'll take a good offer to get him away from us so might as well enjoy him because I prefer him to Ings and Antonio at striker...

"Anyone who think we are getting an offer of circa 35 mil for Scamacca need to give their head a wobble. They might try for a cheeky loan, but that's it."

"You asked who would want him. Wants Vlahovic leaves Juve then Scamacca will likely end up there. His record is good, he’s young, there’s a few who would want him."
