Does anyone else smell a crock of shit here? A bloke in his underpants breaks into the hone of the second most powerful person in the US? Perhaps he just wanted some investment advice since the Pelosi’s out perform Warren Buffet?

“ The Democrats are not and never have been 'left-wing'” Plenty of them are left wing and it is a number that is growing rapidly particularly with the older generation of conservative Democrats being replaced by a younger generation the majority of which identify as socialist. The tax burden for example in some Dem states is even higher than in the UK.

"Mike Oxsaw 3:20 Wed Nov 2 Been banging my head against that particular wall for a good number of the years I have been on WHO. It is a bit like being West Ham, not a lot to justify hope but it springs eternal and you try every once in while. And both are bit like saying ""Please insult me."" If you want to support the easy base narrative, we are not the club to follow."

"Carefu, IoC - You're tugging at some seriously fluffy comfort blankets there. You may as well simply say ""Please insult me"" and leave it at that: the ""debate"" will go no further."

"I have alway enjoyed a debate with actual leftists. These threads, however, have been populated by maybe a bit left of centrists who take the what their favourite media sources says and run with it. (Very much not the behaviour of a real leftists who I find, coming from partially decontructist lineage, question everything.) It is a chance to yell their favourite insults (which are often very much not socially left) at people who dare to question the narrative or even someone like myself who says lets wait a second or few days and not accept the first or even the first day's report of an incident."

"The Democrats are not and never have been 'left-wing', though they have moved a mite to the left in recent years. They are economically centrist - about the same as the Tories or Blairite Labour. Socially, though, they have now attached themselves to a load of woke, liberal shit-cuntery which would probably have even Jeremy Corbyn raising an eye-brow. Interestingly (or not), the Republicans have remained just about where they were, meaning the two parties have drifted further apart. Unlike in the UK, where, like Orwell's pigs, you can look from one to another and barely notice any difference."

"joyo 2:18 Wed Nov 2 It also seemed unlikely that any kind of nutter could get into a house in one of the more exclusive, private (let alone public) security- patrolled neighbourhoods, in San Fransisco. But so far that seems to be the case from the what we have been told. As you say, let's wait for the trial if there is one. Only 2% of federal cases go to trial."

"Capitol Man 11:37 Tue Nov 1 i have just googled and can't find any speech where Trump actually called for violence. But my point stands. The ""violent rhetoric"" which I referred to as so called, because it is not actually incitement to violence, visibly comes from both sides. But when a member of the American public decides to attack a politician, based on their own political beliefs, that assailant alone is responsible for their own actions."

"Even if we give Mr Pelosi the huge benefit of the doubt, we are left with a left-wing nutter who's pissed-off with Nancy for, presumably, not being left enough. There is nothing whatsoever to link him to the right."

https://www.foxnews.com/us/shannon-brandt-intends-fully-defend-himself-against-murder-charge-cayler-ellingsons-death-lawyer Democrat supporter Shannon Brandt (41) killed 18yo with his SUV after 'political dispute'. This happened after Biden's 'Maga-Republicans' speech. It's only incitement to violence when a non-democrat does it.

"Capitol Man 9:59 Tue Nov 1 Making a joke about hitting Pelosi with a gavel, is not he same as inciting GOP supporters to actually attack her I don't recall Trump urging his followers to beat people up. I do recall seeing footage, from Jan 6th, where he urgerd people to peacefully let their voices be heard. If you want to talk civil war rhetoric, what about Bidens September 2022 address, where he outright attacked MAGA's as threat to democracy. Then there is Maxine Waters mad rant, a few years ago, urging people to harrass members of the then Trump administration, when seeing them in public. If violent political rhetoric is a thing, then both sides are guilty The fact is though, that if a member of the public, attacked a politician, because of the rantings of a politician from the other side, that citizen is soly to blame for their own violent actions."
