"Bit concerned Moyes is going to retreat into his shell tomorrow - we'll know soon enough, especially if Paqueta get's a late shoulder niggle or Kudus is deemed not ready for the bench. He'll certainly start with JWP, but he'll also select Soucek, Antonio and probably Benrahma."

"The exile Edging him in, ye what a load of old bollox. One of the best players in Ajax and a goal scorer Edging in past Fornals, Benrahma and Soucek must be difficult or even impossible in Moyes thick head"

"Fauxstralian - I wish you were right about Kudus but I will be surprised if Moyes starts him today. He was talking in his presser about ""edging him in"" on occasions, or some such shit. But I hope he gets at least half an hour off the bench."

if you get chances against this lot you gotta take them or they will eventually find a way to pick you off. Wolves and Newcastle have both been the better sides yet lost late on in games they should have been out of sight in.

"Don't forget that the PL and sponsors need Liverpool to be in the CL next season, so anyone and anything that looks like derailing them on that path will simply be steamrollered out of the way using all/any available means."

"After a refreshing midweek match without to many defensive players, I expect Moyes to revert to classic park the bus mindset. Sit back and defend and rely on a few surging runs and set pieces."

This is one of Moyes 80+ away games without a win against a group of big teams isnt it? We are due & HE certainly is Have actually played well in most recent Anfield games with ZERO luck Was talking to the massive Wolves fan in our office in the week and he said they were very ordinary and apart from Wolves constant inability to take chances they should have beaten them comfortably. Have a feeling it might be the day KUDUS announces himself. Neither of their full backs like to do much defending.& hopefully he can run them.

No better time than now to face one’s demons. All that Moyesie-woyesie has to do is put out a side that will take the game to them and try to get a result. Doesn’t even have to believe in them or anything outrageous like that.

"I think we have enough to win, I just don't trust this particular referee and expect him to be whistle happy every time we go near one of their forwards"

I watched Wolves rip Liverpool apart in the first half of their game. If Wolves could have finished their chances they would have buried them. We have the quality to really pick them apart. Take our chances and we can win this.

I agree we can match their midfield. Up front is harder but we're better defensively than they are. That's why we'll do them.

"GB- agree. I don’t understand why he doesn’t just have a nothing to lose attitude in these games. As for their midfield- it might be brilliant in a season or two but at the moment it’s nothing special. A bit like Chelsea’s talented but inexperienced one. At the moment they can be got at. This is as good a chance as ever to knock them off there but with them it’s always the hope that kills you. There will be a jammy goal or VAR decision, a sending off or an Ogbonna type mistake and by hook or by crook they’ll win. It’s just what always happens against those cunts, even if they aren’t playing well. Just like it seems to be the way against Arsenal."

Was convinced we would get something from City last week but even more sure we will get at least a point tomorrow. On the way up to Stratford last Sunday I listened to Danny Murphy rabbiting on about how wonderful the new Liverpool midfield is…. I wouldn’t swap any of theirs for ours! Is that just c&b glasses… I don’t think so?

"Although they are excellent at attacking teams and will if we set up to allow it, defensively they’re not what they were a couple of seasons ago, even the unflappable VD looks past his best. Every good ( or in our case bad) run will come to an end. Do not see how Moyes doesn’t look at these games as a free hit to really bust a gut and go at them, we could lose by 6 but it’s only a game he’s written off anyway. He hopefully shows some bottle and throws his caution to the wind."

"I think we can win . But does the manager ,? the scoucers are vulnerable defensively. And van dyjks legs have gone my worry is were going to be sitting way too deep and won't get enough support in and around Antonio. We've been the better side the last 4 seasons up there and have lost every time due to poor finishing."

"Would take a draw now, but you never know we are due a win away at a ""Big club"" Hope we go for it, get a bit fed up with Moyes showing these so called ""Big Clubs"" too much respect, get in there faces and attack at every opportunity. COYI"

"Unfortunately Mickey and Branded you are correct that the odds are against us. Even when we have played well up there a VAR decision or something seems to deny us points. Just got to hope we can defy those very steep odds but it’s going to take everything going our way. I worry that the weakest areas of our team will be exposed which is the full back positions and Soucek’s lack of pace and technique in midfield. But as mentioned by others, let’s at least give them a better game up there than usual and hope for the “margins” to go our way for a change"

"Sadly I can't see anything other than the usual defeat due to scousers cheating, bent officials and corrupt VAR team. It's one of those games when I actually don't mind Moyes setting us up to sit back and hit them on the break like we did brilliantly against the rent boys but that was at home, we'll get nothing up there :-("

There is nothing that suggests to me that we will prevail in Liverpool. They have a firing team and have the whole Anfield thing behind them. So I hope at least we can do what we did with Man City and be positive in the method we set up. In the end we will lose.
