West Ham United is delighted to confirm the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from Manchester City and could make his debut in Thursday’s Premier League fixture with AFC Bournemouth at London Stadium.

He's had a total funking 'mare here. He needs a pre season and week in week out .atches to get himself back after this loan disaster and what Pep has done to him ... somewhere with lower expectations. He's been unlucky and also not up to scratch. Not even as good as big Tommy. Good luck Kalvin somewhere else next season.

Horrendous signing and a truly hideous Barnet. We all knew what would happen when he came in for Antonio. I hope he falls into a ravine.

Most bizarre thing is Man City will still get £15m plus for him at the end of the season as some moron will think they can revive him as a player. May even be £20m if Leeds come up. Probably worth £500k tops.

"Just looked at his match stats. 14 touches. 9 passes, 4 accurate. 2 tackles, 1 successful. Shocking."

"I wouldn't blame the penalty on Plilips, that Gordon is a right cheating cսnt. Having said that Phillips has done nothing for us."

"This generations Marco Boogers, easily up there with John Radford as the worse player to pull on a West Ham shirt."

He won’t be staying here. Moyes setting him up to fail mind with his negative tactics. Bringing him on and completly changing our shape. We then sit back and have no outlet. Not sure what is expected of him? Seeing a game out requires to actually try and play some football. Moyes doesn’t do that. Also thought the penalty today was incredibly harsh.

"Plays like a player out of love with football. Dont see him chase, tackle, mark or put a shred of intensity to his game. Chalk and cheese to Alvarez who will put himself in anywhere for the cause. Cant believe how slow and lazy he looks. Like a player on the training ground doing everything half paced. It has to be a mentality issue since he was a very good player. Just paid a lot to do nothing, has won everything and has no hunger."

The only positive thing i can take from this shambles of a signing- at least it wasn't permanent.

Regardless of the penalty today; his contribution on the pitch was pitiful! He’s not lived up to expectations as a player of Rices capabilities or presence. I’d go so far as Johnson did more when he came on! A failed experiment of epic proportions. I can’t see him getting any better!

"OK, I will. And you can continue pretending that he said things he didn't say, and didn't say things that he actually did. Everyone's happy."

"https://youtu.be/SZTJHa8ZyGk?si=q3IbCCodalhulR09 He LITERALLY is scoring more and creating more this season by February - 4 Goals and 5 Assists So come the end of the season, Souness will no doubt state Rice is doing what he asked of him by scoring and creating more. But you're welcome to continue pretending he doesn't rate him, that's OK."

"I think you need to revise your understanding of the word literal. To me it's fucking obvious that he's saying that he dealt with the pressure of costing a record fee, not saying ""Oh, I was worth the money, and Rice is too""."

"Eh? But he didn't say there anything about Rice living up to his fee. He literally did... 'I didn't ask for that fee but I dealt with it, and I'm sure Declan will too.'"
