you noticed it too? what other manager used to come out with that every january, mmmm, let me think 😂

100%. It’s almost eerily similar. It’s like it’s in their Fuckjng contrasts to parrot that shit verbatim every January. on this occasion I am glad we aren’t spending just for the sake of it on one step forwards two steps back shit like Callum Wilson or that Arthur Cabral bloke just because we can.

Unless you are talking about loans or players out of contract in the summer January is difficult
I don’t have a problem with a couple of loans with an option unless they have identified someone like this Morton at Liverpool who needs to move
If you keep your powder dry til the summer you need to be identifying those players now & over the next few months so they are in place on July 1
Can we manage that?
We have loan players returning & a long list of players to shift

Fair play we probably have enough and tbh it’s probably better to muddle through then try and build properly then when it’s easier in summer rather than be held to ransom take a few salty specials as desperation who won’t work in the system GP wants and we are just stuck with, keeping us in the same vicious circle. I bet he’s turned down a few absolute donkeys already this window courtesy of the old boys network.

As an aside I see Brighton are about to make an absolute fortune on Mitoma. The strategy rolls on.

Are we completely disbelieving Potter then? He has categorically said it's him that is being picky, and he properly bigged up the owners. He was quite animated by the whole thing, so if he was lying, it was a bloody good performance.

I get it's everyone's favourite game/life mission just to constantly slag Sullivan off, and most of it is justified, but let's not pretend he's not prepared to spend dough.

I'd be all for waiting until the summer if we didn't have the 4ft stumbling block, that will no doubt continue his scheming & fucking about when the summer window opens. All I hear in the press conferences is Potter doing a January Moyes impersonation, praising the board/it has to be the right player/I'm happy with the squad ("Well done Graham", as the midget cսnt pats him on the head)

"Build properly"?
IE no stupid January sticking plaster signings brought in purely because of circumstance with no long term thinking. Especially on 2-3 year contracts. Ings being a prime example. They do more harm than good. Much rather wait until summer and do some business without any of that pressure.

Thats the spirit lads 🙂

Think the worst and anything else is a bonus. 60 years plus of following West Ham makes you that way. Dont get yer hopes up, dont count yer chickens, dont bank on it.

Try to protect yourself from the inevitable let down that West Ham have a nasty habit of providing.

Lets hope the Potter / Macaulay era is truly an end to end to the false hope and Sullivan listens to them. But our owner has so much previous form for messimg things up. So sorry I’m still sticking with the pessimistic view that we wont get anyone. Hopefully Im wrong but 3 days left, Sullivan dont work Sundays 🤭 and we are playing Monday.

At this point though no one would be surprised if we came up empty handed in this window.
How many times have you said that same thing now ffs?? Same as you kept telling us Lop wasn't going anywhere. You would love it if we signed nobody so you can take your moaning to another level.
The "Sir Alf" Effect.

Latest from the claimed ITK at WestHamRumours:
31 Jan 2025 10:08:34After topping the list, for Angel Gomez, the player has forced an offer from Spurs, which tops WH by a wide margin, looks like WH might look elsewhere, City have taken seconds on Macatee, and await WH offer, if their going to make a bid and not just noise, now is the time
31 Jan 2025 22:18:12WH being associated with a ton of people tonight, but some in my own view red herrings, Tomori WH took seconds on this one, pulled out, left it to Spurs, we will find out if that was a good or bad call it wasn't the money 23 m euros, , Orokadore Cf Gent, tbh, if we are going for Cabral, I would go for him instead, Dolberg of Anderlecht, WH have looked at him before, Cummings Celtic. Young striker, WH miles down the queue here, Soule from Italy, Fulham in front here, Yilmaz from Turkey, he's going to be a big target come June, he's not coming in January, Kristainsen Ch Udinese, big lump, might come good, not experienced enough for WH at present, Kroup Orient young Cf, Bournemouth are way out in front here, These are just a few of the names on Macauley's note book

Silly Dawson rumour, apart from anything else it wouldn't be a good look for Potter and his intentions, even if it was short term. It's not like we're in a relegation scrap.

It wouldn't be so bad if he just gossiped but he comes out with lines like 'I've been told'' and even 'I can't say yet' He knows nothing. Absolute charlatan.

Not sure I can buy into either of those, but it's out there either way.

I wonder whether the Club don't quite think Casey is ready yet and might explore an end of season loan so to gain much needed experience?
