Solidbond 4:50 Tue Oct 24 Re: Hamas attack Israel Darlo debs: As I’ve said before I will condemn Hamas when you and the world condemn Israel. Condemning only Hamas is support for Israel . The UN Chief condemned Israel's actions so come on let's hear you condemn HAMAS..

"Gaffer, they won an election years ago, Gaza only, not the West Bank. There was going to be another election a year or two back, but the PA pulled the elections as Hamas had gained a lot of ground on Fatah in the West Bank also."

Do Hamas win general elections every 4/5 years or is Gaza now a one party state. I know I’ve read/ heard somewhere that Isreal is the only democratic state in the Middle East.

"Nicola Sturgeon’s draconian Covid-19 rules caused children to attempt to take their own lives and parents to consider “suicide pacts”, a public inquiry heard. On Tuesday the first day of evidence in the Scottish Covid-19 inquiry heard harrowing testimony of the impact lockdown had on the lives of vulnerable Scots, including young people with learning disabilities and care home residents treated as “prisoners”. "Texas Iron 5:47 Tue Oct 24 Is it though? I do not remember being taught in school that Jewish people prior to the Holocaust, kidnapped, murdered, raped beheaded, tortured and killed indiscriminately all Germans in their way... Not a fan of people comparing the biggest atrocity in the modern world to this conflict. Especially when it accuses Israel of the very thing that happened to the Jewish people. Israel's actions hasn't come from nowhere. There are still over 200 hostages in Gaza. They have said multiple times they will let aid in if the hostages are released. If it was England and English lives then I would want our Government to do exactly the same."

"It seems quite indicative of the hold Hamas (still) have over the general population of Gaza that the people there would rather have their homes & neighbourhoods bombed out of existence rather than grass up where the Hamas are. After all, nobody likes a grass."

This Hamas argument reminds me of the WEF one that emerged in Covid where people called it a conspiracy theory even though the whole thing was published on the WEF website. They just hadnt bothered to actually go to the source of the texts.
