NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Best 'value' in the draft so far... Baltimore Ravens: Hamilton at safety is one of the best players in the entire draft and, talent-wise, easily a top ten player. Drafted at #14 because safeties are not glamorous. Giants: Thibodeaux at #5 is a steal. Arguably the best player in the draft. Then they land the best OT at #7. Norlenz: Olave at #11 is a fine receiver and Penning (OT) will ensure Olave gets plenty of time to make catches. Jets: Primarily because we landed Johnson, a fucking beast, at #26. Ridiculous for a player of his size and potential. We all thought he would be off the board before then. Our two high picks are fine choices, but it's hard to argue they represent 'value'. Johnson does. Packers: Wyatt is a nailed on NFL starter at DT. Again, hard to imagine how he fell to #28 Patsies: Cole Strange is a riock solid guard. Improbves most starting lines, especially for a #29."

"TM - try telling Cleveland and the Jags that: they've often blown several high picks. Tim Couch, anybody?!"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"What worries me slightly about Gardner - who is a very fine CB - is that I've seen some of his college games and he is very aggressive, very physical and often a bit hands-on. There's a feeling that he got away with a lot of pass interference in college because he's a spectacular player who hits hard and people wanted to see him because he was a big drawer in that conference. Some experts feel he'll get a lot of pass interference calls in the NFL. So he might have to adjust his game slightly. But I like his natural aggression in that position. And he's a ball hawk."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Very good first round for the Jets. The third pick (#26) was a trade-up, so one that Joe Douglas and Rob Saleh had to create it - and they did it to land a player they were not expecting still to be on the board (Johnson). We addressed our three biggest needs out of many needs we have, so the moves were sensible and positive. We still have massive holes in the roster, though. My only slight concern - and it's only very slight - is that we took Gardner (CB) ahead of Thibodeaux (DE/OLB). We needed to fill both positions with high-quality players, and we have done that, but I just have a sneaky feeling that the Giants have landed the best player in the draft in Thibodeaux. Maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't buy the late/post-workout nonsense about Thibodeaux's lack of commitment to the sport. He was immense at college level - the best player in all of college football. That said, Gardner is a strong CB and we desperately needed one. And we did later address the DE position by trading up for Johnson (who we thought would go around #18 to #20). Douglas couldn't believe his luck when Johnson was still on the board. Best of all, we now have a proper primary receiver in Garratt Wilson. Potentially the best WR in the class. I just hope we have somebody decent to coach him, because his talent and potential are immense. Wilson to Wilson could get interesting next season. Good draft for the Giants, too. Maybe, just maybe, they got it right in Gotham this time (a rare occurence...)."

Very good picks for the Saints. Just not sure they needed to move up as much as they did to for Olave.

Cant wait for the pats to draft another bust of a cornerback in the first 2 rounds. They've genuinely had better cornerbacks from undrafted players than high draft picks the last decade

"I like our pick, Dotson. He's not the biggest, but is a great route runner, very fast and the best hands out of this year's group. I'm just gutted those Baltimore cunts took Hamilton"

"Saints were at 16 i think? According to that trade chart they all use the saints actually got the slightly better ""value"" but if you get your giy you still want at 16 and hit on one of the other picks then yeah its a no brainer"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
I did think the QBs would slide as none of them seem actually worthy of a high pick. Normally some team will reach for one but doesnt look like it so far. They all seem very meh. First one kff the board probably lewis to pittsburgh?

"none of the QBs going is a surprise, I was convinced Willis was set for Detroit or Carolina. Also, no WRs yet though that may change with Wilson to the Giants"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
I asked both paddypower and skybet for odds on olave to the commanders and they wouldnt give me any. They have odds for all the top 10 picks but wouldnt give me 11! Breece hall to the bills at 25 i also asked for with no success so i'll be very annoyed if either of them are correct
