People are competitive, compare themselves against others and often crave what others appear to have, and get down because they do not have a baby or a nice car or whatever. Also the fact that it's mainly a western problem and the third world just got on with ot is a fallacy. Places like Afghanistan, African nations, and middle East all top the charts for depression. Could be a chemical thing. We've been putting shit in our air, food, and water for a few decades now."
