"Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham. “While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support. “I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”"

Not surprised he has gone but was more surprised that we bought him. Obviously a good players in the right set up with the right manager but cannot understand that the fans knew this would be Haller MK 2 but seemingly no-one inside the club did. The money wasted by this manager and board is astounding to the extent it's amateur.

Sorry he's gone. We all knew this was how it would end though because he was basically Haller 2.0 and moyes hasnt got the tactical nous to use either properly.

Damn. We are going to look very silly for doing this in a couple of years time. Thanks Moyes and Sullivan.

"Good luck to him, hopefully he’s banging in goals and highlighting exactly what a collective of cunts we have running us."

Scamacca got 19 goals in his last season at a small Italian club and we've sold him for less than we bought him for but balogun got 20 goals in France for a mid table team in France and arsenal want £50 for him. Hopefully we get a new manager who asks Sullivan why the fuck you bought Maguire and why the fuck did you sell Scammacca

"I hope we have a significant sell on clause I can see him miraculously returning to form and then being subject to a big bid - possibly from England What a delightful thought, him turning out against us having been bought for £60m Not quite so fanciful as it sounds, there is a good player in there"

"Great - another good player leaves the club, and we still haven't made a first-team signing. Are we playing some sort of shit, real-life version of Championship Manager 01/02, when you could stockpile cash by pretending to be the manager of another club and just giving it all to West Ham in exchange for a broken right-back? Yet more money the manager and technical director can argue over and not spend. We're four full days away from the start of the new Premier League season - you know, those domestic games we're shit at? - and our squad has been decimated, we have no captain, no backroom staff, a manager having a bigger meltdown than a valium-stricken 50s wife, a new board member who knows even less about football than the current lot. On the plus side, we did get rid of Arthur 'non tackler' Masuaku. So we've about broken even."

"Moyes just can't make these type of players work. He did score 8 in 16 starts for us, watch him bang them in now"

"Sullivan is a cսnt full stop Atalanta sell their prized asset last week to Man Utd They get 70 plus million They come calling for Scammaca after Roma tried a loan and Inter offered a derisory sum Outcome, he signs for them in 2-3 days Not the cսnt running our club, he takes weeks or months to get any deal over the line"

"The fee, apparently, is undisclosed. Any insiders that know the amount? I’m guessing it’s nothing like the amount we paid"

These cunts just don’t learn I’m glad he’s gone but we should be announcing his replacement at the same time how the fuck have we sold another key player without having the replacement done and dusted they are such fucking amateurs

"Capitol man 1.40. Scamacca, Haller, Anderson, Benrahma are all skill players capable of playing counter attacking football, Moyes could not manage them. Moyes is looking at McGuire, WardProwse, McTomminay, none of whom are quick or capable of counter attacking football. I don't believe he can build a good counter attacking team any more, he is to stubborn and one dimensional. Sulivan is largely to blame but Moyes cannot be left to create an exit door for anyone with skill or the promising youth set up by stuffing the first team full of donkeys."

"I don't like to accuse players of being lazy, it's about the worst insult you can label a player with, with the likes of Haller and Scamacca i think it's more a case of they don't see it as it being part of their game to chase everything down like a headless chicken, kind of like wasting their energy. Antonio seems happy to do it though, maybe because he's limited elsewhere, as did Carroll, who was an absolute workhorse."

"ATHammer 9:22 Sun Aug 6 Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed I suppose I meant either back him or sack him. If we’re going to keep him then let him buy players who fit his way of playing. If we want to play a more possession-based game then we need to get a manager who sets up his sides and system like that. Moyes has never shown the ability to successfully change his style of play, that’s at the heard of what happened when he went to Man U and it’s happened again with us. He can, however, build a good counter-attacking side capable of decent league positions. If we want to play better football then he needs to go."
