Cricket World Cup

"Starts on 5 October. Hopefully England can successfully defend the trophy, but it will be tough in Indian conditions. If England fall short, anyone but India or Australia please. I do fear India will 'find a way' to win their home World Cup though, given it's in their backyard and they effectively control the ICC these days."

"A boring, one sided final between two teams of cunts for a tournament full of boring, one sided games."

Great to see cricket's good guys win. There will be some subdued scam call centres tomorrow.

"Agreed. And this happening in the ridiculously named ""Narendra Modi Stadium"" in Gujarat makes it even more satisfying. Quite funny that India have won all of their 10 games in this World Cup up to their showpiece final easily and have been throughly outplayed today. Just a shame it was the Aussies that did it to them rather than England."

Both teams are not very palatable but glad the Aussies are giving it to the biased Indians on their own dungheap

The Aussies have got this. The Indian crowd are a joke. Head makes his ton to absolute silence. Stuff that up your pipe Narendra Modi.

Warner always seems to get out playing the same stroke.

Hopefully that's the last time Warner ever wastes a place in the Australian team.

Nightmare final. It is tough to decide which of these horrible teams I wish to lose more. The cricket version of the 2019 European Cup final.

After today's match Afghanistan have a genuine chance of making the semis. They should beat the Netherlands so just have to catch Australia or South Africa on a bad day and/or a pitch that takes spin and thaat should be enough.

I'm surprised to see him active on here. Thought that the wombat's gig with the Meerkats would be taking up the majority of his time.

"I have always thought anyone that uses the old ""left [X amount of] runs out there"" statement is an unimaginative, cliche ridden cսnt. So it's of no surprise to me to see the plastic Aussie use it. He is truly cringeworthy."

2 close games in a row. Maybe the CWC is waking up? Similar story for Australia ... 200/1 after 23.1 overs so probably left 50 runs out there. Looks like Travis Head's hand is ok now. In the modern game you arent safe with 388 and giving away 14 wides made it tighter than it needed to be
