"Yeah, I know it's only a friendly but it never really is when England play Aus. Henderson starts yet again. French Bint in charge of the whistle."

"Imagine what a decent manager could do with the talent in the squad, all very slow and ponderous."

"The player that stunk the place out was Grealish, what made him a great player at Villa seems to have been coached out of him at city. He spends more time going backwards than forwards. Rashford walked around the full back within 2 minutes of coming on."

"Spot on, Surf. And Maddison's set pieces have been shite, too. Imagine if JWP had been picked. 1-0. I'll take that. It is the Aussies after all."

"Quiz question: can you name the ten future, past and present West Ham players who were in both teams (including unused substitutes) when Australia beat England 3-1 at Upton Park in 2003?"

"TAA is stinking the place out. Constantly creeping up into Bowen's position, weakening the defence by doing so, and starving Jarrod of possession. On the four or five occasions he's had the ball Bowen has looked England's best player. Sadly, Big-nose will consign him back to club football."

"It'd be really good if players like Henderson (cսnt), Alexander Arnold, etc pass to Bowen from time to time. Been our best player so far when he actually has the fucking ball!"

Watkins missed two sitters. Bowen’s done okay. Australia have batted well but will lose just like the rugby and cricket.

Australia have done what England don't do enough of and that's cross the ball into the box. Bowen has looked lively but down the left when a crossing chance arises the ball generally is played backwards to the midfield.

Bowens looking decent. There’s some big lumps up top in the Aussie team.

There's a player on the Aussie bench who played with my son at a junior club I helped form in Australia.

Assume the line up means Henderson won't be in the competitive game although knowing southgate anything is possible.

The female ref is better than half of the prem refs. No injury for Bowen and I'll be happy.
