"Willtell and Russ - fucking hell, if you can't or won't see the difference between assists from open play and assists from set pieces then just forget it."

"why do you keep asking that? they're paying one of the best I'm the business to do that job. I'm assuming you have a season ticket, so why wouldn't you want to watch better football? I know there's no gurantees, but keeping him in charge it's guaranteed the negative approach will continue. we've got a squad that collectively has over 500 international caps between them, yet he has them constantly in reverse"

Soucek being given legend status on Twitter. A mixture of Bonds and Peters it would seem....

"JWP tends to move the ball very quick , 1 or 2 touch stuff and rarely gets caught in possession and moves to provide a passing option even if most of what he does is simple passes. He’s a working “cog” in the passing thru midfield. That’s one of the things that frustrates most when Soucek plays. No pace, no movement and when he does get it so slow, poor control and passing hence like being short in midfield and a huge reason why we can’t get or keep the ball. Sure it’s a collective team effort but at that level having one player unavailable to pass to puts you at a disadvantage. But have to wait 25 weeks to see the back of Soucek as a starter and Moyes as a manager. **** takes a deep breath ***"

"He's definitely made a couple of 'key passes' while not direct assists have been the crucial factor in a goal being scored. For example the ball he played to Antonio against Reading which he then bust a gut to get into the box and finish. Antonio gets the assist but JWP made that goal. He's pretty much one of the least of our problems as a team, I'd say. Even if he did offer completely nothing aside from great set ball delivery, on that alone this season would have been worth his place in the side. We've been bloody close to scoring on several other occasions from his set pieces in addition to the ones we have scored from. Every time we get a corner you feel we're going to score or come close."

"the exile 3:45 Tue Nov 14 James Ward-Prowse. Premier League: Assists - Joint 3rd - 5 Chances Created - Joint 5th - 6 Europa League Assists - Joint 1st - 4 Chances Created - 1st - 7 So you say he needs to work on his creativity? Right ok. So looking at the stats provided, what do you want him to do to me more creative? Do you want him to play a slide rule pass every time he gets it. Or do you want him to dribble around 4 opponents before laying on a goal? Do you want him to be more like Paqueta? Becuase we don't need another Paqueta. We've already got one. What we need is a so called 'average' midfielder who is in the top five positions for asissts and chances created in both domestic league and European competition. I mean, fuck me, what do you want from the fucking bloke?"

I really don't exile. He's a bloody good midfielder and has created 7 goals and scored 2. Yet you want someone that is more creative. I think you mean you want someone that doesn't make Moyesball so effective then we might get rid of Moyes quicker...

"Willtell - come on, you know what I'm talking about here! I'm pretty sure all but one of JWP's assists have come from his set pieces, and nobody doubts his ability as far as those are concerned. I'm talking about what he does in open play."

"The mastery of Soucek, barely touches the ball despite being in the thick of it, then ghosts into the box."

So we need someone with better creativity than JWP who has scored 2 goals and made 7 assists! Lionel Messi was offered the chance but turned us down...

"Willtell, Russ Re JWP - I wouldn't agree with 360's use of the word ""poor"", but broadly speaking I have to agree with ""average"" in terms of his general play in midfield. However, having said that, he has been a bit inconsistent since joining and Forest was one of his better games, so above average. I think he has actually improved his game since joining us but he still needs to work on it. He's very safe and dependable but for me his weakness is that he plays too safe a lot of the time. The thing he needs to work on is his creativity - he needs to make more decisive, forward passes like the assist for Paqueta at Olympiacos. That was superb but if you watch him closely, he doesn't do enough of that."

That’s the thing Kudus gets more space when Bowen is on the wing and Bowen can also play it into Kudus who can then attack.

"Forest crowded Kudus out well. He looks a lot better (surprise surprise like all players) when he's got a bit of space. That said he's well capable ot taking a few players on in a tight space and beating them. He's incredibly strong. Bit like Paqueta when he first arrived I think- needs to work out how to play in a Moyes system against a team who crowds you out- i.e. getting the ball in incredibly tight spots and doing something with it, or adapting to find himself space. What we really want is to get him in space running at defenders with the ball. Against a team who set up like Forest did at the weekend that's very difficult."

"WA - Agree ref Kudus, obviously he's talented and it's still way too early to fully judge him, but he strikes me as a player who would be much better in his decision making, ie knowing which way to turn with the ball and when to release the ball, hopefully we can coach that into him."

"I thought the Forest game left us with the same questions and head scratching, i.e is Antonio on the bench for good now? Is Bowen convincing as a 9? Will Paqueta stay side, although to be fair he does regularly drift inside. Has he found Kudus's position yet? Will he continue with 3 CM's regardless of oppo? Example, I don't see why we need all 3 against Burnley, we should go for the throat in that game?"

I was at the game on Sunday and to be honest I waa bit frustrated with Kudus. I don't know if Forest had done their homework on him but apart from a few times when he got free he generally tried to turn inside and either ended up passing the ball back to Coufal or got caught with the ball eg their second goal. Bowen seems more effective when playing on the right wing so who thinks it would be worth trying Kudus on the left? It would mean playing Antonio up front but Paqueta could then play more central.

easthammer 4:00 Thanks! Interesting. So essentially 'making a nuisance' Would be very interesting to know what Moyes actually instructs him to do and how well he executes that.

This is the conundrum that is WHU under Moyes management. Would we have won this match under a different manager playing attacking football without Soucek in the side? We like to think we would but maybe not. It was a set piece victory which is all Moyes knows it seems. However if our set piece expertise was added to an attack minded manager's tactics we may have won by more... Time for a new manager...

"Sir Alf 1:16 Tue Nov 14 Spot on. With Soucek in the side we lack fluidity and cohesion. He affects the balance of the team and slows us up. Yet, out of all our midfielders, he's most likely to get a goal from a set-piece or ball into box."
