Zico - if Bowen is on the right as he should be that leaves places for three in the centre.. Alvarez is our only DM so two places left.. Paqueta and Kudus should start because they're our best two midfielders by a long way.

"Is there anyone that actually looks forward to our games now? I'm fucking dreading the yids game already. They attack like maniacs, we play a completely fucking negative formation yet still concede loads. Fucking diabolical. Get this fucking cսnt Moyes out of our club."

"Could have heard a pin drop on the walk back to the station. Never seen our fans so dejected after a draw. No Idea what Moyes and Nolan concluded when they were scratching their chins and chatting about 75 minutes in. They broke up their chat and changed nothing when never had it been more obvious we needed some changes to get a result. There were some nice moves in the first half to be fair, but it went downhill rapidly and Paqueta had a stinker in my view."

Less than 200 posts for a London derby thread? Says it all really.

"as soon as we hit 30 points / a position of safety we should bin Moyes off and give this squad some time to get used to another manager and style before next season starts. I don't see any point waiting until the end of the season to move forward with a new manager, assuming we have someone in mind, which is a whole other question."

"I just love the ‘know it moaners’ on here. ‘daveyg’ with his ‘Soucek is not part of an attacking line up’ nonsense. He’d scored 5 in 5, before today’s game. We are missing a good striker, but they should have won this game. We had full control for a good part of the game and sometimes it might be more accurate to blame the players."

"fraser 9:47 Sun Dec 3 Does that mean sticking JWP on the bench? Must confess it does fascinate me how Moyes seems to make players worse. Kudus probably on his honeymoon period before the Moyes training kicks in. JWP, ?Ålvarez, Aguerd all looked decent at first. What happens on the training pitch?"

"Disappointing result, not sure i can add much more, hopefully we get over this malaise we seem to fallen into and get some momentum going, at least we didn't lose so the current unbeaten run is up to 5. Spurs next, we always seem to raise our game against this lot, so fingers crossed."

Kudus should play as AM... With Paqueta and Alvarez the other two. Then we may create chances for a fucking centre forward to miss.. Bowen on the right... Soucek was anonymous today. What did he do? I remember him getting the ball a couple of times and looking like bambi on ice trying to control a bar of soap..

"I can only assume the Moyes in people, watch from the comfort of a living room, and don't travel in the rain and spend shit loads of money. We are so fucking boring to watch. That all comes down to one man, David Moyes. One game like that and a result, you forget it. Two like that and a result, you move on and worry about a pattern. Every single fucking game, you bore off the next one. I'm done. His subs are always baffling and too late, today was a whole new level of incompetence. Absolute no pride wankers"

"Pity you can't withdraw that statement. Ludicrous, like your love of this fraud of a manager. We didn't create chances as the players don't know how to attack. JWP can't take a set piece at the moment. Moyes is the problem,3 frigging defensive players,Soucek showed he is not part of an attacking line up. he should be a sub as he offers little.Impact sub in the last 10 minutes. Fornals must be livid and the other subs bewidlewed by his tactics and subs. Nothing is happening and he keeps the same players on."

"The irony is that a game like today (no counter attack style successful since Antonio hasn't played) was probably the perfect type of game for a Haller or a Scamacca. Bowen had maybe three of four headers and he isn't a target man. We have an issue where two of our most potent attacking threats in Kudus and Bowen best occupy the right side attacking berth. Neither are strikers, if nothing else for that fact they would be starved of the ball making them less effective. We are overloaded in the centre so the only option really is to have both Kudus and Bowen on the right and the left and swap over during the game to give defenders something to think about. I've said before I think Kudus can hot the by-line with pace and cross, Bowen similar so it's logical to at least try considering you cannot play them both on the right. This in turn releases Paqueta into the middle as long as he pulls his finger out and cuts out the tricks in the wrong areas of the pitch. As well as Soucek has done goals wise leave him on the bench and get him on if a goal is needed. He offers little in build up play and whislt I am no9t convinced by Alvarez he offers more as a shielder than Soucek does. We need a big strong striker with pace who can finish. Basically an Antonio with a brain who can shoot!"

"It was no surprise unfortunately. The 2 Czech lads are decent squad men Wes, great attitudes but are simply not good enough athletes or technicians to be starting every game. But they are a reflection of everything Moyes stands for. Not having a central striker is absurd for a Premiership team. Antonio is not and never was a central striker. Even in his purple patch of 18 months he missed more chances than he scored. Now at his age, he like Soucek and Coufal, Benrahma, Fornals, Johnson, Ings are not good enough to start in the Premiership But the manager does not seem to see how incomplete and unbalanced his squad is and does not seem to value, technique. speed. We didn’t lose was the only good thing as they had a chance or two after they scored to see us off. Bowen was not fully fit but is not a central striker anyway. Paqueta, Fornals, Benrahma are not wide players. Kudus is not a wide left player. JWP is not a defensive midfielder. Moyes is actually trying to get us to keep the ball and pass out from the back but does not know how to do it and no experience of how to do it as evidenced by his recruitment of slow players and ones with poor technique. You have to okay at speed and with lots of movement. We play at a slow tempo and invariably resort to a long diagonal which relies on a big physical forward or two. We don’t do overloads using the wingbacks to stretch teams. Moyesie from the era of get it wide and hit the channels not playing thru a press. Steidten is trying to address the squad deficiencies with his recruitment but it’s going to take another transfer window or two to do that. And of course another manager will be necessary. Look it’s not personal. Moyes has done a decent job but simply cannot take us any further. The run of games over the next few weeks I suspect is going to be tough. I hope we can progress in cups but even the most optimistic fan must be skeptical of our ability to beat the better quality sides we are likely to start facing soon?"

"twoleftfeet - So if Antonio starts we win? How so, because Kudus has been easily our best player lately. Where will he play when Bowen is on the right, Soucek as AM and Paqueta left. Who will create chances for him and it will need to be a lot because he misses loads and which chances would a centre forward have had today that were missed? None"

"we've got possibly the first manager in the history of the game that doesn't give a shit about the most important position on the pitch. he also hasn't got a fucking clue how to use one, so has now resorted to not picking one yet sticking three on the bench. It's clown world on steroids"

Only Burnley have given up more points (14) than Moyse (12) from winning positions which tells you everything you need to know about the way he coaches. Moyse out

We struggle against teams who sit deep. We can’t break them down. We will actually play well against Spurs.

Far too passive against a team there for the taking. Why it take 80 mins for us to press and test keeper.
