'Double deflections' and 'flukey goals'? That mishit shot from Kudas was blasted at Bowen who not only trapped a ball coming at him at 100mph but also placed the ball into the net was a wonderful bit of skill. I swear that most of you are only happy when you're unhappy. We did the Yids away! Fucking rejoice!

"According to the Tena ladies on here we get lucky every time we win, one day they will put it down to us just being better than the opposition but maybe not until Moyes has gone."

We also had 27 points after 15 games in 14/15 under Allardyce. We finished 12th that year.

"Biggest points total after 15 games... Not true. 27 points after 15 games, 2021/22 season. Same manager though. 26 points after 15 games 1998/99 season. Different manager."

"You can create your own luck, but come on that double deflection couldn't have run any kinder for us then JWP missed an open goal but hit the post and it came straight back to him.. So of course they were both fortunate... Would love two like that every game."

"On a side note, Cornet omitted from the squad entirely and not us to injury or illness. Shame he’s never been given a real chance. I can only assume he’s shown some discontent or simply called Moyes a **** or something to his face? The bloke puts in a good assist last week and it wasn’t mentioned by Moyes, he didn’t list him when talking about players going to the AFCON tournament and now leaves him out. This is another thing that really lets Moyes down imo. Let’s his ego or fragile ego get in the way of doing what’s best for the team. Would love to know what’s going on over there with Cornet our only natural wide left player ( played LWB at Lyon too) ."

"COYI, you either know nothing about football or have an irrational hatred of Moyes, or both. First half despite their dominance it was us who created the best goal scoring chance. 2nd half we were excellent and by far the better team. Luck is a huge part of football, sometimes it goes for you and other times against you, but you can also create your own luck which we did by pressing them high up the pitch and forcing them to make the mistakes which lead to our goals."

"The match went entirely as I anticipated it would, save for two of the flukiest goals we will ever score. That aid, Bowen's finish for the equaliser was tidy. We got lucky last night. First half was shocking and we should have been at least 3-0 down by half time. Second half we defended very well after smashing and grabbing two goals."

Like I said at the top of this thread I’ve had egg on my face more than once after predicting us taking a battering in this fixture. Happy to be so wrong again. Makes the palace result even more frustrating!

"Willtell Think we can agree that in Moyes low block Soucek provides some good defensive cover especially in the air but I don’t see any stats that justify him as a starter in our midfield if, and that’s the key word, we want to progress to keeping and getting the ball better. His goals ? Let’s see, if he can continue knocking them in or if it was a little purple patch after a 2 year drought That left side in midfield s a massive issue though. We only have Cornet that has ever really played there and he doesn’t get any minutes. But playing players out of position is the Moyes way"

It was great to get back home last night to find out that we'd done them at their stadium again. This is becoming a very pleasing habit.

"Sir Alf I would be very happy to have a better coach than Moyes but Soucek is a very good DM with enormous international experience and is a frequent goal scorer. Just Alvarez and Soucek as DM’s is not enough in our squad. Even if we only need to play one of them on most occasions. Moyes just is so inflexible in his selections and tactics though so keeps playing the same players moving them out of position rather than rest them and try more attacking players in attacking roles. Eg, We've hardly seen Cornet, Mubama, and any youth players given minutes to get them invested and used to big games. Soucek needs resting at times and to not get AM games. That’s all imo…"

"For all the plaudits Ange & Tottenham were getting this season (some of it deserved) it’s worth noting that they needed 2 injury time goals to beat Sheffield Utd, had 2 unbelievable/Ridiculous VAR decisions go in their favour against Liverpool & Man City and even though they have injuries they are the only team in the top 9 that is not playing European football this season so they have had much less games to play. By the end of this month we would have already played 8 more games than them this season."
