"Thanks for the correction - logical deduction based on the reasonable assumption Moyes will be here next season. It's the way professionals think when dealing with the uncertainties of the real world. Have you tried it, Twundle?"

"The reality is that we have always been prone to these sort of results down the years. Not just under Moyes but all of our managers dating from the time Ted Fenton promoted us to the top division. Take it on the chin and move on to the next game instead of wallowing in interminably repetitive, boring negativity. Man up."

"I'm very much afraid the season has effectively ended already. It ended when it dawned on people that Moyes would be offered a new contract and now Stiedten is off, as are Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus, Emerson and Alvarez. Next season we'll be a proper Moyes side playing proper Moyes ""football""."

"The season is spluttering to a mid table end. The poor performances and good results prior to xmas was never a sustainable approach and failure to address most of the squad and first 11 weaknesses in the transfer window has only made matters worse. Realistically its hard to see us going much further in the Europa competition and Liverpool are firm favourites even if we made the quarter or semis. I’m resigned to the season pettering out, to Moyes being renewed. Over the years, we’vechad many worse campaigns with relegations and relegation struggles. For the amount spent, its dreadful that we are unlikely to at least able to match our financial standing as we should be around 6th-8th really ( yes we are there today but the mood is flat and Moyes is a steady eddie type manager who believes he is far better than he is). All imho of course. The season turns to disaster status only if Steidten leaves or Sullivan allows Moyes to have a say in transfers in the summer again"

An away result typical of the West Ham I have supported down the decades.

I have a horrible feeling Sullivan will cash in on Paceta and possibly also Kudus in the summer. If this happens and Moyes does extend his contract good luck to the mugs who renew their tickets. John Lyall must be turning in his grave…

"That was a weird one. First half we were actually playing football. None of that low block shit. Actually keeping the ball, playing a higher line and pressing the opposition. Of course given that we had a RW/CAM as a LW, a RB as a RW and a RW as a CF we weren't ever going to score too many goals. I had the impression that Moyes was trying to make some kind of point: no use trying to play decent football with the players at my disposal. If I'd gone my usual way then we might have nicked a point instead of lose 3-0. He always seems to do these experiments in games that he expects to lose, so when the inevitable failure comes he can say that his tried and tested methods are better and he'll stick to that in future."

"Moyes has (HAS) to get out of the club now; gardening leave (on Dartmoor) would be my choice, to at least let the players start expressing themselves in their preferred positions. Sullivan won't make such a choice until we are mathematically safe from relegation."

"I honestly believe that any other manager looks at that Man U team and thinks their team has a chance, face your fastest attacking player up against Maguire and you‚Äôll get chances if the balls played to them quick and low. Moyes love affair with Maguire blinds him to the fact that there‚Äôs the weak spot, but Moyes thinks he‚Äôs going to get more success by facing up Kudus and Bowen against the reasonably quick Shaw and Dalot to attempt a cross into the middle where we have no striker (masterclass of recruitment) and Maguire puts his Merrick sized head to use. Even Hodgson gives his players more in game management, fuck me, it looks like Nolan can‚Äôt even be bothered to look at the cսnt because he‚Äôs too busy playing fucking Candy Crush on his I pad. Surely enough is enough."

"With our lack of signings and ageing injury prone players i can see us playing out the season with Antonio up top and Cresswell as a makeshift centre back alongside Johnson and Aguard. Lingard and Benrahma will provide the width with the ever present stalwart and newly appointed captain Soucek and JWP playing centre midfield (JWP will still not of scored a direct free kick and has now been relieved of this duty in favour of captain Soucek) Paqueta will of gone on strike, Bowen injured in training on England duty, Kudos benched and Alvarez banned after notching up 200 booking points. Soucek will later be caught up in a vote rigging and.betting scandal after scooping both Hammer and young Hammer of the year awards with an extraordinary amount of votes from youngsters and ex pats based in a small region of Brazil dubbed Rio de Canning town"

"2 years picking Soucek a man he will say grts picked because he cant play football at Prem level very well but gets you a goal and helos defend with his aerial presence: Thing is he doesnt get you a goal. A little purple patch earlier this season and he picks him continually despite the fact he offers little in any position and next to zero help opening teams up and building the play. In the name of god drop him !!! Moyes has stumbled upon Johnson as a midfielder the result of a late substitution against Bristol City in the cup. Use him instead in midfield. Anything but the willing, ineffective, snail speed, bean pole that is Soucek. Another season with no striker just converted wingers too. Bowen is not a central striker and wasted. We will have to play Kudus there as at least he has the strength to protect the ball. But he wont. Today, areas of weakness were no striker and cutting edge, Soucek / JWP who both were poor. Aguerd being broght back in with no justification for dropping the Greek fella who was just starting to settle i thought and played ok last 2 games. Atrocious man management and team selection. Hardly a picked on form meritocracy. Just like Southgate. Favourites not based on football and performance We are going to end mid table and no Europe next year. Thats the most likely outcome. Moyes should be relieved of his post but if we end up renewing the bloke dont let him have any influence or say in transfers. He’s hopeless when it comes to spotting and picking players. I just keep praying Steidten stays because hes our only hope long term. Sullivan needs to back him and yet it seems Sullivan is deciding if Moyes stays? The DOF decides that surely? And Steidten must surely see the limitations of Moyes ?"

"This cunts spent half a billion quid on a team he doesn‚Äôt believe can go and attack an average Man U team. Also our captain runs like Forrest in his irons, and the managers darling trots around just pointing at others as to where they should be. Moyes is the cսnt that‚Äôs put this squad together, and trained them so they can‚Äôt pass water quickly and efficiently. Fuck me. Just staggering."
