"As a kid I use to watch the Norman Wisdom movies, good old Norman, better than the Carry on movies IMO. Growing up I use to always watch the two Ronnie’s. Ronnie Barker was my favorite. Everything he did was quality. Bernard Manning had his moments. Tommy Cooper made me laugh, not a big fan of Freddie Star though. Today It’s Sacha Baron Cohen. As for funny men in movies I always thought Eddie Murphy was worth watching, “Coming to America” was a great film. John Candy’s movies were watchable and Steve Martin’s movies are alway good light entertainment. “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” was a classic. Not a fan of Adam Sandler movies but Mike Myers has put out some good stuff, “so I married an axe murderer” made me laugh. Some funny and some not. Who did/do you watch and who don’t you watch."

That excellent Dear John was repeated on London live just before Christmas. I quite liked Jack Dee in Lead Balloon and Gervais in Extras as well as the office. That Peter Kay thing episodes the Ice cream man cometh and Leonard the oldest paper boy.were superb as well as Phoenix nights. I also liked The Inbetweeners Cheers.. The Royal family Last Orders.

I think Timothy West was originally in the role but left due to his wife's (Prunella Scales) illness. I still think the American girl was good in the first series but they recast well. My favourite episodes are the Christmas special in the big house with Bobby Ball and the one when they went camping and the car broke down. I miss the character of Daisy, so dumb it was hilarious."

"PostmanPissed 9:35 Sat Jan 13 That Eric and Ernie sketch still cracks me up. The writer Eddie Braben deserves a lot of credit after their original writers walked out. Before Eddie they had a different type of humour but Braben brought in the relationship that they are known for now. Neither were over keen on the bed sharing scenes until Braben reminded them that it was good enough for Laurel and Hardy. Manuel, Good shout on Lee Mack but I don't think Not Going Out is as good these days since they got married, had kids and lived in a bigger house etc. Better than a lot of crap on TV mind."

Laurel and Hardy were the first that got me when I was a kid. There was an extra humiliation and phyisical comedy will always be funny. Stan and Ollie is a brilliant film. Loads of others mentioned that I love earlier but Steven Wright made me laugh a lot. Doug Stanhope as well.
