Shocking what is and has been going on. Truly tragic for all the kids that have been getting abused. Hard to believe that - that is being allowed to happen to the kids. I really am at a loss for words. The poor children! The fact that they are apparently only targeting non Muslim kids is a major problem or at least it should be. Question is what should and MUST be done about it ? This has to be one of the most alarming developments in Blighty over the last 50 years. I really am appalled by what I am reading. Where is the outrage?

This has completely changed and today safeguarding the vulnerable is our absolute priority. “After taking learnings from the Operation Span investigation in Rochdale and the significant convictions secured in 2013, we have worked closely with partners across Greater Manchester to develop a consistent standard in addressing the exploitation of young people. This approach puts the victim at the centre of everything we do, which ensures that proper support is provided by the right agencies and any safeguarding concerns are addressed."

Whilst I understand and tend to agree with the underlying sentiments (of the OP), I would be happy if the government provided adequate (i.e. more than the bare minimum) funding to both come down like a ton of bricks on known perpetrators and sort out some way of stopping the practice, if not everywhere, at least where there are known and identifiable drivers. If I could be confident a solution is being implemented, I would also be happy for things like this to remain out of the public domain/gaze while the healing takes place. However, that's a big ""if"", based on what has been reported so far."
