2 points for a second offence? Big deal.

"Doesn't make much sense, to me. I was expecting to be harsher than the 6 points they've already got considering it's a second charge. I wonder how many times they have to break FFP rules to get points given to them?"

Everton deducted 2 points for a second offence Surely should an increase on the 6 for serial cheats 12 points would feel about right

Sullivan must be loving watching us realise he was right and we have to avoid big expenditures on transfers and wages due to FFP...

COOL HAND LUKE 10:16 Tue Mar 19 Chelsea are risking it big time as they used ammorsation over the long contract periods to squeek withing the rules. If they have to sell early and bring forward those costs they are fucked.

"On The Ball 12:42 Yeah, get where you're coming from fella. Time will, I suppose, tell. Still think this converastion will be ongoing in a few years time. Really don't think the PL can afford to strip titles/points form 'succesfu'l teams. They wouldn't dare damage the BRAND."

And the owners of Man City might well fancy joining or starting a new European league…

Depends whether they've broken one simple rule like Everton/Forest or 115 complicated ones like Man City might have.

"Leicester now under investigation. Pound to a piece of shit their punishment will be doled out reasonably sharpish, whilst the Citeh and Chelsea cases are swept under the rug/not proven/drag on until everyone forgets. Yeah, football ain't bent."

They should have another four points deducted for having that ugly cheating diving bastard Morgan Gibbs-White in their team

If a team won a cup by breaking the rules and only get a 4-6 points deduction its probably worth it.

"Yep, and the moral of the story is......make sure when you break the rules it's very, very unclear how you actually broke them......"

"I don't think so, if I understand it correctly. Everton and Forest broke one rule which is easily checked. Man City are accused of 115 (?) breaches which is obviously going to take longer to investigate and probably won't be as simple as 'have they spent more than £X', which is what the others did."

"Manuel 8:19 Tue Mar 19 Re: 4 point deduction for Notts Forest This is all a nonsense for me. Yea OK maybe the clubs did break the rules, but are they good rules anyway? Seeing the league table with an asterisk next to some clubs names don't look right to me. Has to be another way other than ending up with an ''incorrect'' league table and fans potentially suffering, not to mention the players and coaching staff etc. The league table should reflect what happens on the field of play only, in my humble. Would you say the same if the players were doping off the field? They cheated the financial system to gain an advantage on the pitch, end of, not sure why you would have some sort of problem with that. Its clear that many clubs would bankrupt themselves if they weren't wary of these rules, then what do all the fans players and coaching staff you mention do then?"

"Points deductions only ended up as punishments for delinquent clubs. Forest, Wolves and Everton have been either forced to sell or concede they can’t afford transfers in time for action to be taken. West Ham were warned that they were under scrutiny, as well. If a club gets docked points for breaches of financial regulations they can’t really complain these days."

Shouldn’t everyone who did it get their point deduction notice at the same time?
