Saturday football

"As the business end of the season approaches, so almost every game assumes some significance at the top or the bottom. Arsenal and Man City both play away on Saturday and both will be expected to win. Liverpool also visit Man U, who apparently have to learn to win, on Sunday. Each of those three will be hoping for a slip-up from the others. At the bottom, Everton and Burnley engage in a huge six-pointer, while Luton will hope to put Bournemouth to the sword and boost their survival chances. Forest have a tough assignment at Spurs. As for us, we could find ourselves ending the weekend in sixth place, if we beat Wolves convincingly and Man U get a good thumping from Liverpool. On the other hand... *SATURDAY* CRYSTAL PALACE vs MANCHESTER CITY (1230) Away win. ASTON VILLA vs BRENTFORD (1500) Home win. EVERTON vs BURNLEY (1500) Home win. FULHAM vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (1500) Draw. LUTON TOWN vs BOURNEMOUTH (1500) Draw. WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs WEST HAM UNITED (1500) Draw. BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs ARSENAL (1730) Away win. *SUNDAY* MANCHESTER UNITED vs LIVERPOOL (1530) Away win. SHEFFIELD UNITED vs CHELSEA (1730) Away win. TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1800) Home win."

"Manners, I know you never forget, I was questioning Haaland at the back end of last season about him being a ghost in the big games. The way everyone was talking about him was way over the top, he's a good striker in a ridiculous team, any of the top PL strikers from the 90's & 00's would score 30+ goals in that team."

How can the ref admit he should have given a penalty but wouldn't cause a stupid error? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/27221407/arsenal-bayern-munich-penalty-thomas-tuchel/amp/

Rice and Haaland two flat track bullies. It's nigh time the ponytail at City comes under more scrutiny with him always going missing in the big games.

"only 1 bb/zico I couldn't agree more - I'm in awe of Modric - his skill, class & longevity why he isn't spoken of in the same breath as Messi and Ronaldo is beyond me - as said, he just oozes class - a Rolls Royce of a player."

Wow just seen the Arsenal player deliberately handling the ball in the area and the ref didn't give a penalty cause he said it was a 'kids mistake'

"Clean through, last seconds of the game and Saka is more interested in ‘winning’ a penalty. He got to the ball first and has an open goal."

Could the TNT lads not see that Saka was cheating looking for a penalty? The Madrid 3rd goal was a sublime strike

"Zico. Modric oozed class when he came on, lovely player to watch. Haaland was no more than a passenger, as you say, he needs to up it against the better teams."

"What a player Modric still is, 38 years old, incredible. Cheeky bid if leaves Madrid? Is it just me or is Haaland quiet in a lot of the big big games?"

"Don't actually care, but if that was a foul on Harvey Elliott on Sunday then that was 2 fouls on Saka. As an aside, despite how much the world's pundits rave about him, I'd far sooner have Bowen than Saka"

Bayern keeper Neuer is probably a better passer of the ball the most of our starting eleven!

"Very watchable game at Arsenal tonight. Bayern have been good, Rice has been poor. Goretzka has had the better of him. Arsenal have resorted to play acting and general cheating."

Chelsea next 4 games Everton (h) City (a) Arsenal (a) Villa (a) Some tough games there. They’ll be lucky to get 3 points out of that lot.
