"So the race for the title is effectively down to two, with third, fourth and fifth also all but decided. Luton missed a golden opportunity to climb out of the bottom three after drawing at home to Everton last night. They now have to negotiate West Ham (A) and Fulham (H) and hope they emerge with more points than Forest manage from Sheffield Utd (A), Chelsea (H) and Burnley (A). We will also hope to come away from Stamford Bridge with a point or three on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Championship plays out its final round of games today and there are still one or two matters to be decided. Leicester are champions, and Ipswich need a point from virtually relegated Huddersfield to join them in the top flight in August. The third relegation place is between Birmingham (47 points, -16 GD), who host Norwich this afternoon, Plymouth (48 pts, -12 GD) who host Hull, Sheff Wed (50 pts, -26 GD) who play at Sunderland, and Blackburn (50 pts, -16 GD) who go to Leicester. ARSENAL vs BOURNEMOUTH (1230) Home win. BRENTFORD vs FULHAM (1500) Draw. BURNLEY vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (1500) Draw. SHEFFIELD UNITED vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1500) Home win. MANCHESTER CITY vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1730) Home win. *SUNDAY* BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs ASTON VILLA (1400) Away win. CHELSEA vs WEST HAM UNITED (1400) Draw. LIVERPOOL vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1630) Home win. *MONDAY* CRYSTAL PALACE vs MANCHESTER UNITED (2000) Away win."

"I've said for ages that AI should be taught the rules of the game and left to make the calls. People clearly have no interest in such a change because there would be nothing then to debate, even though it actually makes the game itself better."

"Watched MOTD this morning & have no idea what a pen is The keeper slid out and missed the ball but Havertz left his foot in to initiate the contact - A pen but soft Bournemouth’s ‘goal’ disallowed for minimal contact on the keeper also involved another defender pulling a Bournemouth player over - Pen, didn’t appear to be looked at Luton defender stepped on McNeil’s foot as he ran into the area - Pen, not given Other examples where slight contact sometimes is a pen & other times not Lots of inconsistency & making it up on the (penalty) spot"

"One thing I will say about Rooney to his credit, when he got the Brum job he did sit there and say he would take them out of the Championship.."

Man City’s first penalty looked soft as shit. I’d be well pissed off if it were given against us.

"Birmingham this season is an object lesson in how not to run a football club. Rooney is a terrible manager. When he left DC United Ravel Morrison, of all people, was one of their highest paid players. Morrison spent an entire season without playing a single match after Rooney was sacked."

Absolutely delighted to see Wayne Rooneys Birmingham go down. That two bob club really deserve it after what they did to Eustace.

"Firing your manager when riding high in the championship, and replacing him with football genius, Wayne Rooney, hasn't worked out too well."

"Haaland is a monster isn't he. Hwang is decent and would be a useful player to have. Good to see Ipswich go up, proper club."

Would love Bournemouth to do Arsenal. It would crack me up to see them fail again just as they start to get all cocky again. However I’ve got the championship football on instead. Far more interesting today. Would love the tractor boys to do it and saints to come up in the playoffs. Saints just scored against Leeds. Good stuff. Be nice to see the pilgrims beat the drop as well.
