I actually thougt for once Hardy wasn't OTT and Mirren and Brosnan were.and I thought Paddy Considine was the best of all of them.
Agree though a weak ending,
Still prefer GoL .
Hardy is an awful actor, Paddy is a modern great.
That is a truly awful shout. Mobland, Peaky Blinders, Taboo, Legend. He is superb in all of them.
Hardy in Peaky Blinders is cringe worthy. He's Fagin character is so OTT that I expect him to burst into a chorus of "I Like to pick a pocket or two"'

Thought the Mobland finale was pretty weak. But agree the cast baring maybe Helen Mirren are superb. Especially Hardy.

"I don't think HSB was set in LA - if it was, they certainly had some unusual snow going on! I think we aren't supposed to know where it was, though I always thought Chicago."
Whilst HSB was filmed in Chicago (opening and closing credits) and Los Angeles, in the series the city is never actually named. The police cars for example say "Metro Police," rather than a city name.

Surf.
Agree with the Sipowitz character assessment. The episode where his son gets shot is one of my favourite pieces of tv ever, superb plot and acting all round.

I really enjoyed Mobland, but was thinking it was mainly due to the cast, with Tom Hardy the standout. Take out the cast replace them with lesser actors and the plot is something that you've seen umpteen times before, feuding crime families etc. Will be a second series.

I'll binge watch MobLand this week now it's finished. Is it as good as all my MATES say it is?
I loved Top Boy which was written by the same bloke and I've managed to avoid all spoilers, so I'm looking forward to it.
It's quite enjoyable if you don't try to compare it to anything else like Gangs of London.
A lot of criticism for Brosnan's accent but he sounds exactly like an Irishman who has lived in England for a long time, which I know because his accent is how my family speak.

Zico.
NYPD Blue was excellent quite gritty for it's time.
If you remember 'Hill Street Blues' then it's a similar vibe only set in New York rather than LA. Some great storylines and it wasn't afraid tobshow the sleazier side of some in the force. Cant speak for Blue Bloods as never saw it but I would highly recommend NYPD Blue.
NYPD Blue was made by the same team as HSB. It's MUCH better - Andy Sipowitz is one of the great flawed heroes of modern television. HSN was good though, also.
I don't think HSB was set in LA - if it was, they certainly had some unusual snow going on! I think we aren't supposed to know where it was, though I always thought Chicago.

The Studio is really hit and miss. Some episodes are brilliant. Others are fucking awful. The bad ones are basically a cross between a bad episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and a Jerry Lewis farce.
Totally agree. The final two were puerile beyond belief.

For comedy the best thing on TV right now is The Studio. I see Seth Rogan has managed to get loads of A list celebrities to do cameos like Scorsese, Tom Howard, Steve Buscemi, Zac Efron and many more.
He’s character reminds me of Ari Gold in the brilliant Entourage.

This City is ours, loved it but thought the last episode was disappointing and kind of went off script. Second series confirmed.

Couple of years old but Midnight Mass well worth a watch if anyone let it pass them by, and House on Haunted Hill for that matter. Made by the same people I believe
I think you mean The Haunting of Hill House which I thought was excellent . Couldn’t get into Midnight Mass.
