What is the format for PL2
There will be only one division made up of clubs with Category One Academies. At present there are 26 such clubs. Teams: Arsenal, Man Utd, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers, , Newcastle United, Brighton, Norwich, Chelsea, Nott'm Forest, Crystal Palace, Reading, Derby County, Southampton, Everton, Stoke City, Fulham, Sunderland, Leeds United, Spurs, Leicester City, West Brom, Liverpool, West Ham United, Man City, Wolves. Those teams will be divided into five pots based on performances over the past three seasons. Fixtures will be determined by a draw made according to clubs’ positions in the five seeded pots. There will be 20 Match weeks, with each team playing 20 regular-season matches throughout the season. Teams will play each club in their own seeding pot once, as well as three to five teams in all other pots either home or away. Results (three points for a win and one point for a draw) will generate a table ranking the 26 teams. After the regular season of 20 Match weeks has completed, the top 16 teams will qualify for a single elimination playoff. Teams will be drawn against each other based on their league positions, for example the team finishing first facing the team that finished 16th. These will be one-off elimination matches with the higher-seeded team at home. In addition, the teams finishing the regular season in the top 12 will be invited to take part in the next season’s Premier League International Cup competition.

Mot dissimilar to the first team watching last night. Palace had the athleticism and physicality in a lot of areas and especially midfield and going forward. Orford is good technically but will need pace, athleticism around him to thrive but based on last night Palace had 2 or 3 that look close to Premiership readiness while we had none really. Orford might be ok to play some minutes but not in the current West Ham team.

West Ham 2:5 Crystal Palace
What a disappointment, feels like after a great season we are going to have a poor finish. Still we are 3rd in the league and in a good position going into the play offs. We have 1 game left against Middlesbrough. At the moment we will be drawn with Everton for the first play-off, but that could change.

Orford scored two and the usual mugs who didn't watch the game  will big him up again...fair play on the first one ..but fuckin ell if he's our future were bang in trouble.
for me he doesn't impose himself enough ...I just don't see it.

Ajala was a lazy cսnt and I didn't enjoy the stop start nonsense which didn't work anyway .

From the half dozen games I’ve seen him in he does look to get the ball forward for the U21s but also sprinkled in with lots of those “recycling” possession passes to the side and backwards.  So he can be on the periphery of some games and not that active when the team is out of possession.  Sort of a hybrid of Carrick for the good visionary passing but more like Downes for other parts of his game.

Does Orford go forward or is it all tippy tappy 3 yard passes?

Anyone know who they are.

No idea the main commentator, the co commentator is Mark Phillips. Life-long fan, was a member of the coaching team when we last won the FA Youth Cup and currently Pathways & Development Manager (no idea what that entails, but probably to get as many young lads in to pro contracts as possible)
Yep...it's Woolwich
.he always does these live games.
On form tonight too the cսnt😬😉
Comparing  Derby Countys pitch last week to his barnet was a stand -out...🤣

That 15 yrs old Mongo kid was the best player on the pitch by some margin..
Ajala with another goal...he's filling out as well.
Rigge and Moore looked poor
I'm not getting the hype with Orford...don't get me wrong he looks decent enough at that level...but the hype is a bit ott I think.
He's still very young and bods just need to let him mature and  keep learning ...like Fred is doing at Pompey.

Then it was Phillips who said he was helping coach our U16s on Sunday against Fulham. They really liked Leicester 's Monga. He was good.

Finished
West Ham 2-3  Leicester
Bit harsh, that penalty miss by Orford was a killer. Goalie went early and Orford was committed to the side the goalie dived.

2-2 then Orford missed an 86th minute penalty before Leicester went up the field and made it 3-2.

We led via an 68th min o.g then managed to get a 93rd min red card before conceding a 95th min o.g of our own
Would have gone second with the win
