What would really be embarrassing is letting him Avram 2.0 this season and relegate us with new record lows galore. He's currently on course to concede 88 goals this season. If we want Potter we'd better move before Everto because we know Brady loves Dyche. Flopetegui OUT.

I was hoping for an improvement on last years result.
From what I hear (couldn't watch) it was a bit harsh but that won't change the scoreline.
I get why questions are being asked of JLo but I still think we need to give him time.
For me, we are no worse than last season under Moyes. Obviously it's a low bar right now but I'm cutting the new manager some slack because it seems like there is a perhaps a culture of shit defending and a reluctance to attack that he is trying to change and perhaps it was deeprooted in the spine of the team over the few years the previous manager was here. You can't always change a philosophy overnight.
I don't just say this necessarily because I see us as a better stronger team. The performances have been pretty poor and he's having a hard time getting things going at West Ham.
I say this as a fan of the club who wants the manager to succeed and understands that his success will be that little bit easier with the fans behind him.
He's not shit or stupid, nor are our players. It's just not working right now.
But the only way it can work is if we give him a chance and get behind him rather than embarrassing ourselves by calling for him to be sacked in September.

I thought Lop sat down because he injured his leg while ranting not because he gave up
As for writing Todibo off after 3 halves of football for us and saying he called it right, the bloke wasn't directly responsible for any of the goals and played in a defence with Coufal and Cresswell while his partner Kilman was constantly playing everyone onside. Yet COYI is so desperate for him to fail he's blaming him. VVD would suffer in that set up

I see 'loser Lop's' post-match comments were an exercise in damage limitation. Talking about how brilliantly we supposedly played for 60 minutes and how terrible the officials were. Yeah, yeah, whatever mate. We lost 5-1 you utter fraud.
I think Brentford will have a field day against us and our leaky defence if this clown is still in the hot seat come Saturday, which is highly likely. 4-0 I reckon.
Relegation battle ahead.

Something this broken will never be fixed so there's no point wasting 2 good fixtures verus Brentford and Ipswich only to sack him after and throw the poor bastard that replaces him to the lions against Tottenham and Manchester. Do it today Sullivan, get the cսnt gone. Flopetegui OUT.

Didn’t watch but understand the lack of VAR & incompetent reffing by Andy Madley (brother of the dog fucker) did us no favours
With no European football & the need to bed in a team I don’t understand why we didn’t go full strength
Guess now we play once a week through to January
Pressure will ramp up at Brentford & losing to Ipswich at home would likely lead to an early change

Not bothered about going out, but this won't do our confidence any good at all. We're a joke of a a side, can't do anything. The summer signings are fucking awful, even Kilman is looking shit now, and the punk Alvarez can fuck off. Bowen ain't a skipper.
All about the Bees on Saturday now, lose that and the shit WILL hit a fan or two.
Fuck off.

5-1 loss to Liverpool away in the cup
Well, What else was I expecting.
Only death and taxes are as predictable as the outcome of this game, given what has come before it.

Lopetegui gave up at 3-1. Laying back in his seat while Slot was standing shouting instructions. What must the players have thought when they saw him? If I was Sullivan I’d sack him in the morning. No manager of mine would give up with 10 minutes left to play. He’s got a losers attitude.
Wasn’t he sent to the stands by the referee?
Yellow card. Nothing more.

Yes, we definitely lack leadership. I meant to say that.
Bowen is not a captain. Kilman doesn’t look like one either. I’m not sure who is an actual leader in that team.
For me the only one that comes close to being any sort of leader is soucek

I think we played alright for a large part of that game. But as soon as scousers started putting their first team on the difference showed.
Alvarez unlucky for that second yellow. I don’t think it was yellow, clearly going for the ball.
5-1 score very harsh considering we were very much in it until the subs were made.
Brentford will be a better test to measure the team’s progress if any. I am not optimistic.
I agree Wills, we were ok until Salahs goal and the 2 mins later Alvarez red card. Then with 10 men the rest was not surprising. I’m not too upset with the performance, it was ok. Im ok that for most of the game I we were in it, thought we might turn it round. I didn’t really think we would win anyway.
Re: Liverpool Vs West Ham | Carabao Cup | Match Thread | 25.9.24
Not wasted? Name one positive? Todibo & Kilman, shit.
Wan Bissaka, average. Fullkrug & Rodrigues, not good enough and Summerville too lightweight.
We needed pace and we got nothing.
Don't forget the £25 million 'guru Tim' and 'loser Lop' spunked on an 18 year old Brazilian kid who might as well still be in Brazil.
Both of these clowns need firing for such negligence and incompetence over their use of our transfer budget.
Makes a good narrative, but it in reality wasn't close to 25m...muchess and heavily weighted on achievement. And the kids 18 so won't be time to really judge if that's a master stroke or a flop for another 3 or 4 seasons. But it's a good narrative and stick to beat with. I'd suggest sticking to the Fullkrug deal (22m not 27m) as that really is the one that looks stupid.
I don't care how much the deal was for the Brazilian kid, it is a complete and utter waste of money if he is nowhere near the first team.
As for Fulkrug, I said all along that was a laughable signing. A complete misuse of transfer funds. But lo and behold, the wannabe bullies on here got on my case for calling out the flaws in our transfer spending spree and stating the emperor ('guru' Tim Steidten) has no clothes, and the transfer window was a disaster.
Both 'guru' Tim Steidten and 'loser' Lopetegui should be sacked for incompetence and misuse of club funds so we can move on and try to salvage this car crash of a season.

Soucek is the closest we have to a leader but isn't captain purely because he isn't guaranteed a starting slot. If you want someone to sit very deep, drop between the centre backs and play simple 5 yard passes, may as well let him do that and be captain.

Well beaten but had var been in use Liverpool’s first goal would have been disallowed and we may have got a penalty.
If there had been VAR then it would have been a premier league match and Liverpool would have played their first team and still stuffed us 5-1.

It’s not wasted, they were all agreeable signings. Perhaps the priorities were all wrong but we are a stronger squad than the negative ginger bellend left us with and we’re trying to play in a more positive way but it isn’t working. At all. Let’s face it, Lopetegui was the supporter’s last choice out of the list being touted but I’d still much prefer him than Moyes.

Seem to lack leaders out there as well. Was surprised that Bowen got the Captains job as not particularly vocal but when you look around not too many alternatives to choose from.

I was always annoyed at Moyes for not using the youths but I cut Lopetegui a bit of slack on this one - he’s not even 100% familiar with the senior squad so he probably doesn’t know much at all about the individual qualities of the other teams at the club. I’ll judge him on that one later.
