Getting a a better sky deal for existing customers

I know loads of you have done this in the past, but how are you doing it? Speaking to them this morning and their best offer was more expensive than I currently pay.
My current deals expire in December and they want me to pay over a tonne after that. That can bore right off.

You have to tell them that you can get IPTV streaming for £60 a year.... and, I cancelled and followed through with it... on the last day they called and gave me the best deal. You have to stand your ground.

Don't know if cancelling an existing subscription, and signing-up to a new deal (under your partners name perhaps) would work??
They clock the address and if they don't they eventually catch up. You have to be away from them for 12 months before you can subscribe as a new customer.

They're not usually bothered about keeping you as a customer so for a lot of people the old cancel and wait for the letter/email doesn't work as they don't bother.

Their retentions team aren’t as accommodating as they used to be, and I’ll be binning Sky off come end of my current deal in Feb - don’t really use it anymore.
IPTV covers most live things, and torrents for everything on demand, but I do pay for a Canadian Fubo account that gives me every premier league game, and a US F1TV Pro account for, well, the F1 as the IPTV can sometimes be a bit flaky there. AppleTV box with a VPN and it works perfectly.
My parents moved to Now TV, you can get some great deals on that and they always re-offer them when you cancel.

I was paying £55pm for Signature, Sport, Cinema, Netflix without Ads, HD, which all were going up to £115 a couple of months back. Cheapest they were offering was between £68 and £78 so cancelled for the first time. Got an email few days later and agreed same package for £60. Yeah probably a mug but it always works and I do like the Sky Q and recording facility. No rhyme or reason on that link why people get such different prices.

I've never paid a penny to Sky in my whole life.
Thanks to this site (specifically Joe C for the moody box recommendation and Alan for IPTV), I've always watched it for a fraction of the cost.

Re upped with Sky, this April. Initial renewal had virtually doubled. One short text chat with Sky cancellations department and the renewal (same products), was £2 a month less, than I was currently paying. 18 month deal.

Modern day football is awful I would feel robbed if I could watch it for free.
And it's always Liverpool and man utd on.
Just phone up cancellations and they will offer you a better deal.
And don't get me started on the buffering.
