Yes, Monday ffs!
First of all, anyone travelling up there probably needs sectioning, unless you are making a weekend of it.
Does anyone have any hope of getting anything other than a jolly old spanking, and could Loppy be shown the door if it is a spanking and it looks like he has lost the dressing room? Maybe leave him up there? At least it's better than Wigan.

I was thinking Monday was a good thing as at a wedding Saturday, but then realised I had to watch it.
Are you going up Fraser?.
a MASSIVE coat will be required .

Sadly, personally I'm okay with this as my weekend is free and I can sit down Monday night for the game.
I agree though, complete cսnt for our away support. 2 days off work needed. When I went to Sevilla I was impressed by the support, hearing in one week 7 days they had travelled to Southampton, Liverpool and Sevilla. Amazing.
For them I hope Loopy pulls off a win.

If he can stay on the pitch perhaps
I wouldn't start him. He needs to come off the bench before getting back in the Team after his 2 recent suspensions. Shouldn't be rewarding him with an instant start straight away.
For me both Irving and Soler are ahead of him in the queue.

Some positive team news for us is Alvarez is back from suspension with only Kudus out for 2 more games and Fullkrug the only injury in the Squad.
More importantly Newcastle have big issues in defence missing Dan Burn through suspension, as well as no Botman, Krafth, Lascelles at Centre Half either through injuries. That leaves only Schar as a senior at Centre Half who turns 33 in a few weeks. They also miss Trippier who has been out which leaves 2 very inexperienced Full Backs and a depleted back line to attack.
If Lopetegui doesn't get the Team to attack them at will from the start then he's a proper dopey cսnt. We have all the firepower to cause their inexperienced defence all kinds of problems.

Like you Stubbo, I think the Team is also screaming out to be set up 4-3-3. The weird disconnected 4-1-4-1 formation needs fucking right off. 4-3-3 is also one of Lopetegui's favoured formations usually, so it's strange he hasn't turned to it yet when the player's we have suggest we should go that way.
Fabianski
Coufal Todibo Kilman Emerson
Soler Soucek Paqueta
Bowen Ings Summerville
Coufal for me, not only because he has vast experience but I also feel we need someone who's prepared to bust a gut at right back up and down the flank, as Wan-Bissaka took the piss in the last match jogging about at times.
Time for Soler to show why Lopetegui has faith in him and thought he linked play well in the 2nd half when he came on showing some nice touches. He's had enough time to settle now.
I thought it was a welcome sight to see Scarles on the bench in the last game and want to see us turn to him so to add something youthful injection of energy in to the side if asked to travel up there. I'm a big fan of his and believe in him, he just needs a chance.

Like others, I reckon we lose this fairly comfortably.
Things I'm hoping to see:
1. Wan Bissaka return to defensive form.
2. Ings starting up top.
3. Guido on the bench
4. Soler and Paqueta showimg some level of interplay/understanding whenever on the pitch together.
Predicting a 0-4 defeat (as Lopetegui never shuts up shop at 0-2 but keeps going for the comeback).
Team:
Fabianski
Wan Bissaka
Todibo
Kilman
Emerson
Alvarez
Soucek
Paqueta
Bowen
Ings
Summerville
"Hope for the best, expect the worst" feels like this game in a nutshell. Good luck to anyone travelling up....Monday night in Newcastle...what a scheduling disgrace!

I think it's more to do with not wanting to pay him off.

Don't see this as anything other than a comfortable win for Newcastle. They have a very strong midfield and ours is.... what it is. They have a bit of pace on both flanks which doesn't bode well for the way we defend either.

Will be going, I don't have a problem with Monday night, an excuse for a long weekend and spending 3 nights up there!
Newcastle has a great LGBTQ+ community.
Enjoy!

Been 4 times
First 2-1 win when we finished 3rd
4-0 Sunday afternoon good hiding. Only comfort being having a free pass working on the rail.
Then a 2-0 defeat when Dicks elbowed Carr and another 2-0 defeat which I only went to stand on the gallowgate end.

I’ve only been up there once. Flew up and back the same day, and we won, with Nolan ironically scoring the winner. I did toy with going up for this one as there were tickets available, but it’s two days off work, and lighting probably won’t strike twice, so I quickly come to my senses.

Going up there for this for one. Already feeling like an idiot for committing to it.
There's no variance under Lop. They aren't occasionally putting in a shift or employing some wily tactical nouse to give us half a chance. We are like a poor AI team on Fifa. So the score is determined more by how much skill and effort the opposition have at their disposal. Makes it very predictable. Top half teams nearly always beat us and we only get points from poor teams. So I am expecting the worst here.
Not sticking up for Moyes, it was right he should have gone, but at least you always held out hope for games like this that we could nick a win. It's very unlikely to happen here.

It probably won't be, but if it is another one after two more weeks on the training field then he has to be let go on Tuesday.

Not overly hopeful of coming away with anything from this, could be a very long night.
Our next four games are all live on Sky so not got a 3pm Saturday game til 21 Dec (home to Brighton)
Could be a painful run up to Christmas.

Don't think we'll get spanked, but we won't win either. I was in Glasgow and weighed up going on the way back, but Mrs PB said no.
2-1 to the barcodes, more pressure of JLOP with Arsenal on the horizon. I care more about the latter than the former, so if we could kill off their title hopes at the bowl of despair, I'd bite your hands off.
