Steve Cooper Sacked by Leicester!

After only 15 games in charge following loss to Chelsea! Leicester not fucking about, but does seem a tad harsh, maybe stuff going on behind closed doors, as didn't think he was doing too bad considering what he had to work with.
Makes Lopi look even worse considering our squad, resources and position only 2 points above the foxes, but you never know a loss against Newcastle, and he may also get shown the door as well, we do seem to have reached that stage in the season......

I was surprised they gave him the job in the first place. Seemed a strange appointment after Maresca.
But then having appointed Cooper, he had them in 16th place which is probably as good as they could expect this season. So it’s another strange decision.

It’s a tough business…
Success only…or else…
Too much money at stake…

I suspect that none of the foreign owners of clubs in the PL have any affinity to those clubs despite their lip-service backing.
All they need/want is to maintain their clubs' stance as part of "Brand PL" (& "Brand CL" where appropriate), in order to maximise the global reach (of their sponsors).

They lost their nerve and ditched him way too soon. Looking at their results, I'm struggling to see where the sackable offence occurred, realistically for them as a newly promoted side bereft of Premier League quality. Can see them getting relegated.
I seem to recall some kind of stat in recent years that the majority of relegation threatened clubs that sack their manager mid season still get relegated. They have taken a punt and only time will tell if it was the right call, but I doubt Cooper saw it coming.
Worth remembering these are the same owners that sacked Raneiri not too long after he won them the league.

They desperately don't want to go down again, was reading that in game stats from this season are poor and not sustainable moving forward, so they acted now rather than 'hoping' it will improve.
I like Cooper, a good coach and a proper football man and will be a good coach for someone, but it seems like top half of the Championship is his best level.
Come in David Moyes, or is he waiting for Everton?
