Don’t care if it’s Gandalf the Grey - I want to see a proper position-related player development strategy and a real focus on football as the core activity. Without that, it really doesn’t matter who takes on the toxic mess.

Well the Saint’s Ghost was available but his name was rarely raised and his occasional suggestion brought more comments of derision than favour. Perhaps it was because of his Spurs connexion however when Forest decoopered who would have thought that his replacement would have them in second place at the season’s mid point?

Goes to show, when various names are bandied about, that we are all just shooting in the dark.

Nothing happening until summer is my guess too. Probably avoids compensation payments and as mentioned wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Allegri is lined up. He’s old and has a great CV showing he won trophies a few years back. Its the Sullivan way. Buy a top of the range, 10year old motor with all the extras and “razzle dazzle” factor.

None taken. Only passed on what I had heard. Let's be honest though - After last night are you convinced he will turn it around? I'm not. If Sullivan has got over his ego and admitted to himself it was a bad appointment and has already agreed with Potter, then there may be some truth in it. Only time well tell.

You all know what's gonna happen if we lose tonight.
Our beloved owner and chairman will appoint Moyes for the reminder of the season. And after securing our relegation he is given a 5 year deal

I won't shoot the messenger but will only be happy if he wins us the FA Cup or gets us into Europe. I'm not convinced by Potter, but happy there is enough at the club already - and January close - to ensure if he does come in, we're not involved in a relegation scrap and can look to move up. 

I've moved on this now.

Think the club needs an injection of 'West Ham'. Will Still or Carrick for me. Both would get the fans.

Still especially...young English manager pulling up trees abroad...if he was Portuguese he'd be considered the next Mourinho.

I could accept Potter for 6 months as long as the targets set are European qualification and breathtaking football
