I know it’s hard to nominate when any decision would be made by the utter pillock Sullivan but …
I’d like to see us take a chance on a young English manager like Michael Carrick

Don’t care if it’s Gandalf the Grey - I want to see a proper position-related player development strategy and a real focus on football as the core activity. Without that, it really doesn’t matter who takes on the toxic mess.

Well the Saint’s Ghost was available but his name was rarely raised and his occasional suggestion brought more comments of derision than favour. Perhaps it was because of his Spurs connexion however when Forest decoopered who would have thought that his replacement would have them in second place at the season’s mid point?
Goes to show, when various names are bandied about, that we are all just shooting in the dark.

Nothing happening until summer is my guess too. Probably avoids compensation payments and as mentioned wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Allegri is lined up. He’s old and has a great CV showing he won trophies a few years back. Its the Sullivan way. Buy a top of the range, 10year old motor with all the extras and “razzle dazzle” factor.

Fonseca who was heavily linked with us is now available. Just been sacked by AC Milan after only 6 months in charge!!!!
Another who i would maybe now put on the not to be touched with a barge pole list But hes looking for a job..........
A big loss against Man City may well see the Spaniard back in sacking territory (if hes not hanging on anyway) personally think every game we go now is a game too many for him, but wont hold my breath on our beloved board doing much

I can see Lopetegui lasting until the summer then getting the bullet unless things change massively.
Then in steps Max Allegri and we have another squad overhaul.

I heard a little dickie bird today say that regardless of result tonight - Potter is in. Six month contract, review in summer, potential long term contract offered upon targets met. Don't shoot the messenger.
No disrespect Russ, but I don’t see Sullivan binning Lopetegui now.
None taken. Only passed on what I had heard. Let's be honest though - After last night are you convinced he will turn it around? I'm not. If Sullivan has got over his ego and admitted to himself it was a bad appointment and has already agreed with Potter, then there may be some truth in it. Only time well tell.
I don’t see Sullivan ever getting over his ego though. Or wanting to pay to remove Lopetegui. At least not unless we nosedive towards the drop, which shouldn’t happen.

Once again Sullivan going for a cheap option gets us into La Merde…

You all know what's gonna happen if we lose tonight.
Our beloved owner and chairman will appoint Moyes for the reminder of the season. And after securing our relegation he is given a 5 year deal

I won't shoot the messenger but will only be happy if he wins us the FA Cup or gets us into Europe. I'm not convinced by Potter, but happy there is enough at the club already - and January close - to ensure if he does come in, we're not involved in a relegation scrap and can look to move up.

I've moved on this now.
Think the club needs an injection of 'West Ham'. Will Still or Carrick for me. Both would get the fans.
Still especially...young English manager pulling up trees abroad...if he was Portuguese he'd be considered the next Mourinho.
West Ham fan...get the lad in and give him his shot at the big time!

Why are we looking at a short term interim manager anyway?
if Allegri won’t come until the summer, fine. Move on and find someone who will.
Sullivan is a clueless tip rat.

I’d be okay with that, but I don’t see it being true.
Why would Potter give up his weekly (big money) payments from Chelsea for a 6 month contract?
Just doesn’t make sense.

I could accept Potter for 6 months as long as the targets set are European qualification and breathtaking football

Relax everyone:
Vice-chairman Karren Brady has been pushing hard for Graham Potter – who is good friends with her husband Paul Peschisolido.
Great to know the current favourite for the 6 month gig is the pick of a proper football expert at the club.
As Noble said, West Ham aint run like a circus anymore

Allegri out of the running. Financial demands too much latest rumour. Sullivan wont ever pay compensation packages so Carrick ruled out too.

SURELY NOT?????
Because according to The Sun reporter, Moyes has told West Ham he is open to another return ‘in the right circumstances’.Reporting on his Patreon site, Nixon says Wolves have approached Moyes about taking over from Gary O’Neil. It’s claimed O’Neil will be sacked if Wolverhampton Wanderers lose to the Hammers on Monday night. The game has been billed ‘El Sackico’ given Lopetegui faces the same fate should he lose again.Moyes has insisted to Wolves he is not interested in discussing the job while they still have a manager in place.West Ham clearly have a special place in Moyes’ heart, though.Because Nixon says he has made it clear to Sullivan and co that a ‘remarkable third spell at West Ham is possible in the right circumstances’.The report claims there are “severe doubts” whether Moyes would accept the Wolves job even if the position was vacant.
