Let's play a game, who would you bring out of retirement?
So you can bring any West Ham player out of retirement and add them to our first XI, they will be in their pomp.
Who would you bring back?
I have picked Bonds only because I think he would drive us forward and be a real leader, stick him in midfield instead of Alvarez.
Just a bit of fun during these gloomy times.

Someone who would run through walls for the club and always offer his team mates the opportunity to pass out of danger: Pat Holland.
Of course the current management/owners would chew him - or anyone like him - up and spit him out so much as look at him.

We desperately need a leader, so Bonds is the obvious choice for me too.
Id love us to have a Di Canio or Payet (not retired, I know) too. A player who gets the fans excited.

What we are really missing is a forward that scores a shit load of goals. Perhaps this isn't quite the idea, but I'd like Dean Ashton in his prime before the England injury. I think he is the sort of forward our preset squad is missing and we could finally see how good he really could have been!
Also not quite the idea, but could we also have Ron Greenwood

Would he have made a difference to those around him?

Dimitri Payet, just for his free kicks.
He's not quite retired though.

Tommy McQueen.
What we need is another makeweight reserve who will barely kick a ball for the first team.

You can only have one but McAvennie is a great shout.
Re: Let's play a game, who would you bring out of retirement?
Apart from the obvious ones, Bonds, Moore, Brooking, I would have McAvennie back, would make a fine lone forward and we would have won that the other night.
