Well I've heard some people move to places like Thailand and don't inform the DWP so illegally get the annual rises of their state pensions and even still claim others benefits or abuse the use of blue badges by giving them to non raspberries and therefore fear the indoctrination of things like ID

I personally think the ID cards are a must against illegals and fraud
I've also no problem with cctv everywhere or checks on people who travel abroad alot especially if on benefits

Absolutely nothing to fear or hide from.

History is littered with examples of the state rolling out a solution in an apparent attempt to use it to solve a particular problem only for them, a little down the line, to re-image it for their own purposes.

ID cards are the perfect example of such a "solution". They're manna from heaven for the state.

The solution to illegal immigrants is unfeasibly straight-forward: get them out of the UK before their feet can touch the ground.

Where to? Well, there was a plan to do just that but some couldn't stomach playing God (Most likely they sneered at the suggested destination as being a 3rd world country).

Other than that, how about a repurposed ex-cruise liner? Got all the infrastructure needed for days at sea - just keep it far enough out at sea to deter attempts at stealing the lifeboats and making for Benefitstan.

Fraud: the state/authorities already have the ability to cross-reference data and stamp out fraud, but once they introduce such a policy and enforce it professionally, it will result in an awful lot of civil servants looking for a new job.

Got something to hide or fear of this long overdue need?
ID for everyone is a must need especially against illegal migration and fraud
France has it and that's why the boats are full of illegals coming here
Trump is using it to get rid of millons of undocumented illegals

Worst idea since society was created.

Plenty of current tools at the authorities' disposal to deal with the issues you mention, and many, many more they won't admit exist.

Blatant attempt to distract the newshounds (not that they offer any real social value these days).

I mean, fuck me! How long has the internet & social media been around and the political classes still act as if there's only 3 TV channels and a handful of newspapers.

I can't get my head around how an ostensibly top level BA/PM didn't have in place a personal contingency plan for the UK to leave the EU.

If he believed the wouldn't do so and therefore simply didn't bother, what with the result being sold as a foregone conclusion, that's nobody's problem but his.

small point obviously missed by you... we left the EU

It was a victory for democracy, the same at every GE. There will always be those who voted differently to the side that won out, most know there will be a another vote in a few years time.

The thing about the EU-vote was the council-estates turned out to vote (no-one took that into account) & 'the people' voted to leave the EU... when I voted to join the ECM in the 70's it was about borderless-trade, over the years it became a political football with the formation of the EU. People felt detached & it allowed our MP's to blame the EU in difficult times, hence result.

Unfortunately for you Swiss, the result was not what you desired, you are now filled with so much febrile hate for your fellow countrymen that you resort to name calling & throwing stones at an imagined enemy... you really should look into the root causes of Brexit & what caused the likes of Farage to get a voice on the Political scene. A good place to start would be Thatcher's downfall but you're probably too aloof in your thinking to bother.
