What's my point?

I've made it below, it wouldn't be good for the fans... The weather would be shit and the stadiums aren't great.
Yes and as I said , FIFA don't give a fuck about the fans.

And as I said who said they did, again I was discussing why  it wouldn't be a great place for a world Cup if you're a fan... Whether FIFA give a fuck is irrelevant
It's the FIFA World Cup mate.

Nobody gives a fuck about the opinion of a drugged up mess such as yourself anyway.

Then what is your point about the Australia winter not being suitable for a WC?

Because football-wise, the conditions would actually make for better football than stifling heat.

South Africa 2010 was their winter time, and there were no issues.

I seem to recall Australia were front runners for the world cup in 22 and many thought they should have got it over corrupt Qatar, so assume they must have submitted a strong bid at that time? Will bow to those who know the Aus climate better than me, but as I said it was freezing in France 16 ,although I suppose that was unusual for that time of year.

Considering they’ve had the 2022 WC with no booze, and are doing so again in 2034, I very much doubt FIFA care about fans/fan parks.

It's not perfect fan weather, there would be nowhere to accommodate them.. Trust me it feels very cold with the winds coming from the Antarctic.. Not UK levels of cold, but cold enough to be very uncomfortable outside. Not a nice place to be in June.

Agree with Fraser, and as someone who lives here, June is cold windy and raining for a good portion of the days, daytime temperatures are not to bad but at night it does feel cold. A June WC down under wouldn’t be what people expect!

September would be ideal, spring time, warm sunny days without the extreme heat of summer but would clash with the start of the UK/European season but if FIFA can accommodate the Arabs on this then surely the Aussies/Kiwis?

Fine for playing not for fans though, thousands of fans and you need fan parks and would be too cold in Melbourne and Sydney too I reckon.

Fwiw, not sure I agree with your assessment on the weather. European countries have to suffer really hot weather in world cups, as in the US next year, so what if the dingo's are a bit chilly. As for stadia, pass on that, but suspect they would build some like we have seen many times before?

Weather in June is maybe like October/November in UK so perfectly acceptable for football, if anything in northern Australia it would be like a UK summer but the Southern states were most of the big cities are it’s pretty shit for the visiting fans and the WC always seems associated with summer.

Anyway they passed in favour of the money from the Saudis so all academic know as it where!

Melbourne is pretty cold in June and Melbourne is probably football central in Australia

Sydney do you think Australia would be goid for a world Cup with the distances and not great weather in June?

I also think the stadiums aren't suited, how many decent football stadiums are there, I can only think of Sydney and Brisbane that have decent ones, but may have changed since I left.
Not sure June would be good, weather tends to be shit, but maybe like the olympics they could do it in September? Would mean a delayed start for the European season, or they start early then have a Qatar type break?

As to stadiums, all the big city’s have at least one big stadium but not necessarily good for football, the MCG for example? The rugby league stadiums would be ok for football but most have low capacity, but reckon like the LS a bit of work on the big stadiums could make them acceptable for football rather than ideal.
They're not passable though, worse than the London Stadium as all built for AFL cricket, I've been to them and they're awful for football.

Seeing as every city has these big stadiums I can't see where they would have a need for others..

I won't be going so couldn't care less about the alcohol ban.  However, it's dreadfully sad that such a revered and iconic competition has been reduced to blatant corruption and manipulation and no one, apart from football fans, seems to care.

Agree it's an absolute fucking nonsense but no doubt the scum that is FIFA will be delighted as they despise your 'typical' football supporter. Still, let's get through the next nine years first!
