I'm just pleased that Manchester City have Leicester before us. Surely they will win that one! If not, guaranteed that they'll hit form and score loads against us.

Nice squirming Pickle.
Playing Fullkrug actually means playing Kudus out of position.
Not necessarily. Paqueta and Alvarez could be our two central defensive midfielders with Kudus as a no10 (Google it if you dont know what it means...)
Bowen , Fullkrug and Summerville could be our forwards (wings and centre forward).
This would be considered an attacking lineup, something our former and current manager knows little about.
1) Fullkrug has been utter shit as our #9. It’s a choice between him & Bowen, but that’s not even a conversation because the answer is so obvious.
2) By his own admission, Kudus best (and favoured) position is on the right.
3) Our midfield was already far too easy to play against, but last few games we’ve tightened up by playing two defensive minded players in there. Alvarez & Paqueta would get torn apart playing together in there.
I disagree, but we will never know...

Wan -Bissaka is a classic WHU player.
Erratic
casual and switching off one minute...marauding all over the gaff the next.

.
If Soler had tucked that away it would have been a well worked goal, Fulkrug with a nice little dummy there.
Kudus was awful..his first touch was Manuel -esqe
Very strange.
Lucky win ..but an away win is never to be sniffed at.
Two easy games coming next..

I’ve made the basic point that it’s worth playing Fullkrug because as demonstrated yesterday he can even make himself useful when still returning from injury and adapting to the PL. He also allows Bowen and Kudus to assume roles they are more effective at playing.
Was it hold up play, a flick-on, a nod-down or a goal attempt? I’ll let you tossers strum each other off over it - he did well, as did Bowen and Soucek.

Gone right off him this season. Attitude has stunk the place out.
He is a very decent player who has now realized he’s in a crap setup, has the hump and probably wants out.
you put a diamond inside a turd and you won’t see it sparkle
Nothing excuses a petulant selfish attitude, that's on him.
Yes that’s right. We had too many or those types. Getting paid thousands per week that most can only dream of. He should be respectful and professional. More like like Rice and less like Payer

Imagine spending all day on a West Ham football forum looking for any opportunity to slag off good players, present the weak links as strengths and sing poor managers’ praises.
What a life.

That game was everything I feared it would be. Poor football that flatters to deceive, a huge dose of luck and it somehow gets rewarded with a barely deserved victory that papers over cracks and extends the managers tenure and likely a spell of relative mediocrity at the club. Nobody would have complained had the result gone the other way as if Southampton could finish they would have dealt with us easily.
I’ll be watching Liverpool with grim fascination. It’s hard to get expectations up for this and I think the best we can hope for is respectability in defeat. There’s always hope tho, and stranger things do happen

The defence was shot to pieces . I have no idea what Loppy is on about when he speaks . But I’d give him a season .

One up against a side bottom of the table and went on to create absolutely nothing and almost fucked it up. Nothing has changed, we are fucking awful with a midfield packed with pedestrian cart horses. Kudus is a waste of space too, Summerville a rookie.

Would like to see Irving a bit more.
100%
Get him in the side and let's see how he fares. I suspect he might surprise everyone that he can actually play a bit and certainly be up for a physical battle if needs be. The rare times he has got on the pitch he looks tidy enough.
From the brief bits I’ve seen of him he could be quite useful.

Save some money on him and sell him in January, Hammered and Pickled. Then with some of the proceeds we can just buy and plant a Swingball in his place right on the edge of the 6 yard box to rebound balls off. That's the only time he becomes useful stood still goal hanging, as when he actually has to use his legs he gets completely lost in the fast pace of the Premier League.

Hammered and Pickled genuinely believes we'd be more defensive with Bowen up top rather than Fullkrug.
(When all available)
Soler Alvarez Paqueta
Kudus Bowen Summeville
That all day long rather than the lumbering German cart horse up top clogging it all up.
Get back to me when you want to address two things:
- Fullkrug's real performance, especially yesterday,
At the moment you are just operating lazy bullshit stereotypes
"a German cart-horse up top clogging it all up" indeed!
You absolute

Fullkrugs real performance? Absolutely shit. As referenced in commentary and by everyone on this match thread. Same as every time he’s played. He’s just anonymous.
How we play? Much less shit with Bowen as a #9. As pointed out by literally everyone aside from you.
Bit like your inability to recognise how bad Paqueta has been. How do you manage to get it so wrong so often?
As a self confessed nazi Prickle is obliged to defend the German.

Fullkrugs header wasn't a 'flick-on' in the sense he knew where Bowen was and was clearly going for goal just like he did against Leicester in the same position. Bowen was by the penalty spot when Soucek headed it centrally towards Fullkrug by the 6 yard box and Bowen nips in to turn a poor off-target header in to a goal just before Ramsdale flops on to the ball.
Fullkrug did well and you’re a fuckwit.
I give him credit for winning the header, just not what he intended to do with it.

If any of Bournemouth, Brighton or Southampton had had their shooting boots on we would have lost badly.
Same thing could easily be said about us too. Our conversion rate from all our chances we now create is shocking. Imagine where we'd be if we had a regular goalscoring No. 9 to finish the chances...
I don't get all this, if only the opposition had scored all their efforts like the same thing shouldn't then apply tp us as well.

I'll hold my breath.
