Deadline Day January '25 (All Clubs) | 'Slams Shut' at 11pm

Thread for discussing all the movers on Deadline Day.

Starter for 10.....

Marcus Rashford to Villa (all be it it happened yesterday)...massive, expensive waste of money.  His announcement photo looked like a former footballer who could barely raise a smile.  And £200k+ per week for the privelege.  FMOB.

He didn't say that Duran wasn't all that did he?
Well they’ve lost him, and he claims they’ve done outstanding business.

Go sleep off your comedown son.
You can't read then or you're just thick as shit, he said if they've got £71 million for him and replaced with two who do well it will be good business... He never once implied that Duran was shit.
Ok nancy, off to bed now.

Yeah, why would they want an established England international who bagged 30 goals the season before last and who they have an option to sign permanently at a decent price? When they could have got a 20 year old crock who's scored ONE solitary goal since November 2023 and if he does actually do well will go straight back to his own team. But yeah, we're the ones having a great window.

Outstanding business 😂 😂😂

They've got two cast offs on loan...and a matter of months ago everyone on here was queuing up to suck Duran's dick, yet now he's left them, he weren't all that.

Never been good enough? Had a 30 goal season few years back and has banged them in for England. From has fallen off a click but no doubt he is a top player when at 100%

Its if Emery can get him back to anywhere near those levels thats the question.....

If he can, then lobbing out Duran for £71m and getting Rashford and Asensio on loan is absolutely outstanding business.

They really do show ambition.

They'll fly us the league once their players get fit and new signings settle.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not sure if serious 🤔

Fascinated to see how this turns out for him and Villa. I feel like he’s just utterly cooked as well. We will soon find out if it’s true, but being scapegoated and sidelined by two managers in a row suggests no smoke without fire. Weird situation.

Be interested to see if we get Ferguson over the line and if there are any other Sullivan specials coming in that potter will be stuck with for three years, after the chairman has got bored after his lunchtime nap and starts flicking through his phone book while watching review of the season 2019 or a YouTube video on second division Mexican football.
