So... Bournemouth at home. Potter beginning to underwhelm.

The sort of game suddenky West Ham pull out a performance...but I don't see it. Iraola one of the leagues current shiny coveted things....Potter looking tarnished by his time at the bowl already.

Prediction...0-2 to Bournemouth.

If Fullkrug starts I think we win, but Potter is a pussy and is way too cautious. Bloke needs to grow a pair of balls but I don't think he has it in him.

I think we saw yesterday that when we are actually attacking and playing at a tempo the bowel can make a noise and really drive the side on, but we have a mouse on the touchline leading the orchestra.

Yet another Jekyl and Hyde performance…

Little sustained energy and determination…

Midfield too slow and sideways more than forwards….

Potter needs to cut out the short passes from defence and vary the approach…

Not enough goal attempts and definitely need a striker up front to focus our attack…

Guillerme showed some quality and needs more game time

Still undecided on Potter…he’s such a low energy guy and it transmits to the team…

Entertaining game. We controlled the first 25 mins then faded and let them back in it, howler by Areola gifted them the lead. Harsh to take Scarles off, he wasn’t great but also didn’t deserve to come off. Second half started flat, Fullkrug then coming on changed the match and tempo. We scored 2 excellent goals and should have held on to win, never a foul by JWP that led to their second goal. Ref was awful, blew up for every 50/50 and ruined a good match.

if Fullkrug stays fit then we’ve got a decent striker. The big issue is our centre mid, it’s the slowest in the league. JWP and Soucek need replacing with 2 players with pace and energy. Jury still out on Potter but I’m optimistic. He needs a pre-season and chance to bring on his own players before being properly judged.

Only watched the highlights but looked an ok game, both their goals looked preventable, Areola spill for the first the worst of the 2, both our goals well taken, zee big German has got a nut on him! 🤯

See Ipswich lost so that will be a relief to those of our fans who seemed to think they could finish higher than us and send us down, wonder if they have their calculators out to see if that still on the cards🤣 the silly sods!

tell me what did Emerson do that benefited the team,he was lazy tracking back and he's a defender. never broke sweat, lazy cսnt,poor defending for their 2nd goal. Potter is making Scarles a scape goat and destroying his confidence. There were some awful performances today, JWP (one good corner doesn't justify Soucek,Paqueta, Alvarez ,(he must have bets on how many times he is fouled, but he rarely is ) even Wan Bassaka seems like he is on holiday already,Areloa,Emerson (the new Musuaka ).
Positives, a fucking striker and a goal. Bowen in the 2nd half,Todibo,Guilherme cameo. 2 goals hooray...

He seems to have mobility issues too, or maybe that's just his style.
Hopefully not Zouma mk 2 and with a full pre season we'll see the best of him next season.

So he was injured against Man Utd and Lopetegui had been told he wasn't fit to play. The dopey twat sent him out to play the second half and fucked his calf. He had no pre season either.

Been building up his stamina ever since (PL much faster than French league of course).

He's been getting better, and he is more 'involved' than most CBs...so expensive more energy.

As you say...hopefully a full pre-season and he'll be good to go.

No idea if he chain smokes Gauloises in his spare time though. SWT

Can't seem to mange 2 games in a week and has been subbed in every game he has played?

I know he's had injuries this season and he didn't have a proper pre season either due to injury but we are obligated to buy him and for a sizable fee and it appears something is not quite right with him.

Had norovirus before the last game...and it was pretty warm today. Thought he did pretty well to last as long as he did.

A turgid hour turned around by binning Soucek & bringing Fullkrug on
Thought we were pretty good after that with some forward structure. Fullkrug held it up & fought for every ball. A stupendous header to score
Threw it away with a soft goal after another appalling refereeing decision
Gave us nothing
As said Guilherme was lively when he came on … did Soler touch the ball?

I was somewhat disappointed we didn't go on and put the game to bed after going 2.1 up but we are always succeptable to a counter punch and need to improve at the back and in terms of our game management.

Not a bad result on paper however against a half decent side.

Absolutely turgid first half, everyone around me was bored shitless.. Second half woke the stadium out of it's slumber and was very enjoyable. Hoping for more of the same, draw a fair result.

Absolutely, but what rattle's my cage is the constant stupid trickery and antics from Paqueta, and the slow motion of Soucek. They are not making us better with the ball as they give it away to fast.

Apart from that, Guilherme looks good, and Fullkrug need crosses. Ok second half, but we lost three points

Agree Kudus was wasteful with the ball, but he did finally give a nice assist to Bowen.

Actually enjoyed that second half - and not just because of the goals.

We had a period, the first under Potter, really, where we got at them and looked to play quicker and tougher. As others have said, it came from a desperate place, because that first half was another diabolical effort.

But the tempo and energy was better in the second half. We left ourselves a little more open, of course. But that's sometimes the price you pay when you're positive and actually try to win games.

That tippy-tappy shite in the first half was terrible - absolutely no penetration whatsoever. Potter will point to possession etc., but what's the point when it's all among your technically deficient defenders and your deep-lying midfield? Absolutely nothing incisive in that first half.

Having a proper centre forward, who wants to shoot, on the pitch does help.
