Well another game tonight in the Septic Cup. Next on the menu....Davie Moyes.
They got stuffed by the Cherries at the weekend, so hopefully we can give them a good shellacking.
Fingers crossed for the breakup of the triangle of turgid shit, and an injection of youthful exuberance.
Prediction: 2-1 to us.
COYI.

He did make a mistake but our play causes it, JWP keeps passing the ball backwards to a centre half who's high up the pitch, we're gonna see a few of them.

Hopefully Casey can dust himself off and Potter will not let the mistake affect his decision to give him more game-time.
His mistake was no worse than we've seen from our established, multi-million pound international defenders but he's got allot more time to improve.
Russ on the network made a, rare, good point which was that he’d like to see Casey go on loan for the season, he has become institutionalised at West Ham so joining another club could be a good way for him to develop and grow.

Yeah Fullkrug looks a completely different player to the one that rocked up 12 months ago.
It just goes to show how important these training camps are. Any signing we make now has to integrate themselves into this group.
You'd think the idiot Sullivan would have learnt that by now.
He has lost a fair bit of weight, ozempic or mounjaro?
I’d love to think Sullivan watched the match and thought we are a pretty decent side maybe I can find some money to get 3 new players in.

Potts was excellent which must have pissed off sad, we are getting a kappa kit, ferret.
The midfield looked more busy than it usually does and I thought Marshall pressed and chased everything.
Someone on a YT video described him as being like Craig Bellamy in the way he never stops and just annoys defenders.
I thought we looked good and with a couple of new additions could have a decent season.
Also respect to the German, he looks bang up for this season.

Guilherme impressed as well they had to resort to taking him out a couple of times. Seems to glide past people. Got to get more of a look in this season, just whether he can fit into potters system

Seen some comment from Everton fans!!!! Moyes may have saved them last season, but sounds like the honeymoon is OVER

, reality is sinking in and they look like struggling again next season, the transfer activity, or lack of is on par with us as well, dithering Dave may have something to do with that as well
To us and it may only be a friendly but we looked organised and the better side against the toffees, as we did against ManU to a lesser degree, and apart from the keeper fuck ups and some better finishing we could have easily won that as well, so we do have something to be optimistic about i reckon, we won't be pulling up tress or finishing top 6-8 but not sure that relegation battle is on the cards either.
Early days and these 2 sides are far from top quality (funny saying that about ManU

shows how far they have fallen) but will take the positives.............
We were clearly second best for 80 mins vs the Mancs and had nothing about us. This was a big improvement. Still lacking ideas when we get into their half though, but we swarmed them in midfield and that was good to see. Diouf is a concern, looks poor. Everton on that showing are really poor.

Watching that reminds me how glad I am that we don't have Moyes as manager anymore. Everton looked awful just a few hot and hope passes. A couple of bad challenges from their players. Felt sorry for Casey never really recovered from his mistake. Potts looks like he can make the step up. Not bad from us, Bournemouth will be a much tougher test

I went to bed after the first goal, we actually looked pretty lively but it was another horrible goal to give away.
Everton were very ‘physical’, one stupid tackle almost cut Diouf in half. I’d have been fuming if I was Potter.
i told you all, Füllkrug is going to be the guy this season.

Two separate team in each half but from what I saw on the short highlights on LiveScore we absolutely dominated
Opened up too easily for their goal and Chocolate Wrists Foderingham should have saved it
Still say Fabianski could have done one more season as no2. Still time to sign him while replacing Areola
Created most of the chances & lovely finish by the German
Didn’t see much from Everton & their keeper is poor too

Apart from Casey I thought they all were twinkle toed on the ball. Similar trait that runs through the likes of Orford, Potts, Marshall, Earthy. Great to see.

Fairly pleased with that. We look a level above Everton. Passing is crisp and we look to want to play football. I don’t see any risk of relegation. Just frustrating as 3 quality signings of a keeper, athletic centre mid and striker make us a decent enough team.
i still have faith in potter, I think he knows what he’s doing and is progressing us, I know not all of you will agree with that but that’s my opinion. Anyway, night all

Happy with that! No major injuries (hopefully Mavropanos more of a niggle), good run-out for most and overall a professional performance bar the odd brain part moment.

Glad Fulkrug had a few good moments, I was starting to get a bit concerned about him. Looks like he's dropped some timber.

Think we've looked alright in places. Everton look like they're in deep shit.
Yep, agreed. Named a small squad, haven't improved with subs like we did and haven't really shown any strengths other than quick counterattack which all the top half teams can nullify.
If we're going down, we'll take this mob with us and about time they went down, too.
