September internationals

I'm struggling to comprehend what Marcus Rashford has done to merit starting for England.

Yeah I thought Bowen was very good when he came on, some lovely touches.

If Bowen didn't play for West Ham, most of us would want him there as an alternative option if you're going to go with inside forwards instead of advanced wingers. That would mean not only Bowen going but ALSO Jack Grealish going AND making those changes at the same time for a balanced team, AS WELL AS dropping either Saka or Madueke to accommodate Bowen.

It's just not going to happen and if I didn't support West Ham and therefore our captain, that would be a much less bitter pill to swallow. Bowen can do what he does better than any other Englishman but that niche isn't necessarily required of a squad player at all.

I've actually lost count at the number of 9/10 performances from Bowen down the years whilst playing in an overly defensive and poor Team a lot of the time.

Bowen will always be tidy, a team player and give you a solid seven and no less. Madueke is flashy and a bit more of an X factor but more selfish, and he’ll maybe give you an eight or a nine once in a blue moon but plenty of fives or sixes.

I feel the same with Gordon vs Rashford. Tuchel clearly wants the X factor in his wide men in the constant hope they will have a ‘nine’ but he’s ok with them having a five or a six. Don’t know if the risk is worth the reward.

Somehow, I doubt this will ever come to pass fella 😉🤣

I don't think there's anything to worry about his discipline. Nothing jumps out badly as a pattern of it so shouldn't be an issue, nor will he miss games for us.

Your 'future wife' is very decent 👌
Thank you mate, I'll pass the compliment on once I've kidnapped her.

Bowen was lively, bright and smart.

He is a better player than Madueke... but it won't make a bit of difference.

Tuchel has cast his die

Bowen is fine but he's not their first choice. Hope he goes as he deserves it.

I missed the second half. I had a look through BBC’s live reporting and they don’t mention Bowen once. I had a look at Sky’s and they mention him making a contribution to three good attacks in his cameo appearance. Whoever is in charge of BBC’s sport hates us.

Was always virtually impossible to not qualify from that Group. Even Avram Grant couldn't have fucked that up. 😂

HENDO still stealing minutes from young players I see. What’s the fucking point? Give someone who is actually the future a run out.

Good to see Watkins and Bowen getting a run out. I feel like Watkins should get more of a crack in games like these so he’s ready if needed.

clever from Bowen there.
