Seems no real interest in people "going to find out what it's all about" as the media is saturated with it and the talent level is on show for all to see - for free.

Just watching bbc breakfast sports news & showing Champions league game of Chelsea v Paris FC at Stamford Bridge
In a week where there is no men’s club football both stands at either end were completely empty
Not sure how many in the rest of the ground but what is going on?

Purely because the broadcaster will get lambasted for a lack of diversity if they are not. That is the simple truth.
Then you've got Eni Aluko attacking Ian Wright (who has probably done more than anyone for trying to legitimise women's football and the coverage of in this country) for 'taking jobs' from female pundits.
Double standards much?
I should think she's just bitter that she's that bad at being a pundit she can't get on the box any more in either iteration of football because there are a multitude of women who are way more polished and professional.

OK, it being wholesome entertainment is fine, but why are they pundits on men's football?
Probably some cսnt who has nothing at all to do with women's football, or football at all - is making money out of the politics of it.

The average wage for women footballers is about £35k a year, only the "stars' like Reece James sister, Chloe kelly are in the 6 figures.
I'm not sure men are being blamed for poor support?
I think it's wholesome entertainment and would sooner see these girls make a bit of money rather than the twats on love island., 'influencers' etc. Bowens Mrs has millions of followers, making a fortune - for what?
I'd imagine most of the people paying to get in and watching are families with kids
There's going to be no love shown on here. The problem with mens football is it does seem to be hijacked to promote causes - rainbows, kick it out etc, in a way that other sports are not. Rugby, cricket, tennis etc doesn't have this. It's like 'they' are trying to rile and demoralise working class men who like football. But then thats whole can of worms beyond football.
As for women's football good luck to them and there's plenty more important things to be annoyed about right now.

There's a lot of shit on TV that no one's interested in. But it's only women's football that seems to wind people up which I find quite funny.
Fair point. But I don’t think people would be quite so wound up if 1. Men weren’t blamed for the poor support of women’s game and 2. Fans of normal football weren’t being over exposed to the promotion of a game they generally aren’t interested in. Men don’t complain about women’s tennis for example.
1) for me is the salient point. And I think the one Bill Burr is referencing IIRC.
I genuinely don't mind women's football or women's sport in general (particularly international sport) or indeed the sometimes OTT coverage and hyperbole. BUT, I think for women to try and blame men for it not being successful is a disgrace due to them not going to games etc, particularly when they don't do it themselves anyway, is absolute bullshit. If women supported themselves women's sport in numbers anything like men support men's sport rather than just preaching and lecturing to men about it, then there would be absolutely no issue whatsoever.

I don't think the contestants on Come Dine With Me are asking for the same platform and equal pay with the actors on Peaky Blinders though?

Bill murr rant about wnba. Applies to soccer and why women don't watch it
Is this the one where he says if women can't even be bothered to support it in any significant numbers or even go to games, then why should anyone expect men to, or also moan about it/lecture them about why they should support women's sport when they themselves don't? Pretty accurate really.
Just a case of wagging the finger saying shame on you and do as I say not as I do.

It's time the BBC, Sky, Talksport etc just accepted the fact nobody's interested in this fucking shite and packed it in.

WSL average attendances are down for the second year running. Despite all the money thrown at it, this just never got any traction did it.
I read somewhere that it's not even women watching it. It's men.

I look out for their results but from what I've seen they don't have the resources to really compete in the WSL. Weren't the owners trying to get rid of the Womens team to someone? I thought this was Sullivan juniors baby originally? Did he run away or get it taken away for doing a dreadful job?
We would be better off having a Womens team in a lower league that gets some local girls a pathway rather than a whole new team of cheap random overseas talent every year.

What sort of attendances do they get when it's not a "big" game getting hyped to death by the media?
A dozen or so of their dyke mates i suppose.
