Exclusive: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated
West Ham and Callum Wilson have agreed to terminate his contract early, sources have told Football Insider.
It emerged on Monday that the striker, 33, could quit the London club this month.
Now, sources say that a full agreement is in place between Wilson and the hierarchy for him to leave the club by mutual consent.
Wilson was signed on a cheap, incentivised one-year deal after leaving Newcastle United in the summer.
He will now be available as a free agent in what is expected to herald a stampede of interest from clubs in the UK and overseas.
West Ham have confirmed the signings of two forwards picked by Nuno Espirito Santo, Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio for a combined package of up to £47million.
Both could be involved on Tuesday against Nuno’s former club Nottingham Forest, who are four points above West Ham.

Should Nuno likely get the boot now, I can see him staying if the next manager thinks he's still the best Prem Striker currently at the Club and wants to keep him.

Not sure about this one.
As someone else mentioned, if he had a proper guaranteed contract, he'd probably be out injured. You have to give credit to Sullivan for the pay as you play deal.
However, he has looked decent enough when he's played and been unfairly treated by Nuno. Although it wouldn't surprise me if Sullivan was telling Nuno not to play him so that he doesn't have to pay him.

If he doesn't play, he doesn't earn much, meaning he could be stuck with us till the Summer to pick up his £2k a week basic. You can hardly blame him wanting out.
I think he is a disgrace, he is happy to lap up the contract when he is starting etc.... no one made him sign it. He is a reason why we are in this mess, and now he wants to fuck off and earn more wedge instead of fight for his place and contribute to the cause.
Another example of how shit modern football is. Funny thing is if he had waited longer than 24 hours before throwing his toys out the pram he would of seen Pablo last night and realised that he will get many more apps the rest of the season anyway.

Hope he stays and we give him another year.
He’ll score goals in the championship.

Reckon he can see a better pay day elsewhere, of course the new signings will influence that but end of the day he's just another mercenary type?
Talking to a Newcastle fan, who made the point that at Newcastle and on big wages he was more often than not, out with minor injuries, either our medical staff are much better or makes you wonder if he has a real shit pain threshold. All those niggly injuries all the sudden disappear when its pay as you play!
Anyway, fuck him, just hope the club and Nuno know what they are doing and these new boys can hit the ground running.

Fuck him, 6K a week is beneath him, 99% of the worlds population would crawl over broken glass for that.
Aged 34 wasn't that good anyway.
Who going to offer better?

I think it's bonkers to let him go. If these two new strikers don't do the job, who is? I'd keep him at least till the end of the season, he might be an asset in the Championship!
I always thought Nuno was deliberately not relying on Wilson to be here. Which is why he tried to make a system without him.
The gamble backfired I suppose but it’s pretty clear the club aren’t fighting to keep him. They could just pay him for his time till the end of the season.
i think it’s mental to let go of a settled striker with PL experience even if you don’t intend to play him much. Spend some money and make it worth it for him.

So he's not on the bench tonight. A clear sign he is off. Sullivan and Nuno are total idiots.

I know it’s very easy to bash the club and manager at the moment, but this is being driven by Wilson.
This prick agreed to the low salary, with heavy incentives, knowing Fullkrug was ahead of him. Presumably because nobody else offered anything better.
Why is he kicking up a fuss when we’ve signed a young striker from Portugal, and an Argie who I suspect will play off of the main striker? Back yourself if you think you should be playing over them, we’re not here to do him favours.
Fuck him, in all honesty.
Broadly agree Ron, but who signs off the bonus that Wilson gets if he plays?, I don’t think at 33 Wilson gets a big paycheque anywhere else, maybe it’s about playing games at his age and being in last place in a race of 3 strikers, 2 of which we’ve not even see play?

When we go through the games I can fully understand why Wilson has the right hump with Nuno and picked up on it throughout the season.
Everton A - Fullkrug starts (Wilson left on bench)
Arsenal A - Fullkrug starts (Wilson left on bench)
Brentford H - Paqueta starts (Wilson left on bench)
Leeds A - Paqueta starts (Wilson comes off the bench due to Scarles injury not for tactical reason)
Newcastle H - Wilson finally starts and we win well
Burnley H - Wilson starts 2nd game in a row we win and he scores
Bournemouth A - Starts and scores 2 quickfire goals 1st half then moronically subs him for Soucek early 2nd half to protect what we got on a hat trick and we throw away 2 points drawing
Liverpool H - Starts him but the Team play pitifully producing little in our final third
Man Utd A - Starts him plays well and we gain a well earned point
Brighton A - Drops him we struggle to score until a minute of him coming on late he sets up Bowen to gain a point
Villa H - Remains on the bench as we lose 3-2 only having a token jog out for less than 10 mins
Man City - Still remains on the bench as we get dicked 3-0 and only given less than 10 minutes run out against
Fulham H - Yet again left on the bench as we lose 0-1
Brighton H - Finally starts the game we draw and plays a key role in us winning the Penalty for handball for his goal bound effort to go 2-1 up. Then he moronically subs him to loud boos all around looking hacked off
Wolves A - The one time he actually keeps him on throughout which puts the injury safety fears to bed he cannot last games we get dicked 3-0 with little service as he just buys 2 new Strikers effectively come to replace him
All I see is game after game of him being fucked about, under appreciated and can totally understand why he's got the raving hump with Nuno's treatment of him. Had he actually appreciated his game more and trusted in him to play more then we would have scored and got more points. I've no doubt about that.
To be fair, for context you should also add that he was on the bench for Potter's first 4 games and only started the 5th, his last
Yeah, even more evidence of a useless twat manager overlooking the best Prem Striker at the Club.

Impossible to say who is at fault?
Seriously?
There's only one person "at fault" and that is Sullivan.

There's rumours circulating all over that Willson was the 'dressing room leak' and that he had form for it at Newcastle as well. So part of this swift eradication is down to that too.
Wouldn't surprise me. Always struck me as a guy very much concerned with Callum Wilson above all else.

I feel everything possible is going wrong at the moment. Impossible to say who is at fault, but it is clearly terrible man management.

That seems the consensus among most people and the logical reason this little saga has unfolded thusly.
All from Sullivan's mouthpieces.. So he's trustworthy now is he?
Another instance of Sullivan's sloping shoulders and him trying to prove any failures are not down to him.
If he hasn't realised by now that every West Ham fan has worked him out, he really is as thick as kosher pig-shit.

He earns more money for playing than not playing. He thinks he's going to be playing less. he wants to leave as a result. He signed as a back up and seemingly happy to do so and he remains a back up. He's lucky Fullkrug was a cսnt or he'd have played far less anyway. He's not going to get significant minutes anywhere he goes, I am sure, unless he drop down a division. Do feel free to post his contract details if you know them.

I've edited below, only if you know what his contract is, you don't you know what Sullivan has put out there to soften the blow of the signing

I'm fairly sure he didn't come to West Ham to be back up Striker to the chronically out of form Paqueta on a number of occasions under the fellow Portuguese speaking Clueless One and it set the tone from the start of his tenure. That shit was next level wacky to me.
He didn't.
Sullivan basically told him Potter wants money to sign a striker but he ain't fucking getting any so don't worry lad you'll get your coin.
