Funny that the biggest surge in immigration in British history came *after* Brexit

Romanians and laterly Albanians absolutely everywhere in North west London and yet my builder mate tells me they have stopped coming and he struggles to find a bricklayer. Students overstaying visa and tied In with some very dodgy colleges above shops and the like. Unlicenced and illegal HMOs and subletting rife causing social issues with fly tipping with piles of crap on every corner in this part of the world too.

Braverman is going to be mightily angry with whichever minister was responsible for this.

"""Just think how bad it would have been without Brexit."" Yep, under Freedom of Movement it was impossible to know how many foreign people were working in the UK. A very common practice: An East European agency has 12 qualified (as per their governments criteria) HGV drivers on their books. A logistics company in the UK asks said agency to provide the services of 10 HGV drivers, which it does, and at any one time 10 such drivers are working in the UK, but paid by their agency employer back in their home country, who receive a bulk contract payment from the UK logistics company. That's 10 people in the UK doing 10 jobs far cheaper than any driver employed in or through a UK agency. It doesn't even have to be the same 10 each week/month; they could rotate so they get every 5th week off. UK authorities wouldn't have a scooby. Not the logistic company's problem; all legal under the EU Freedom of Movement legislation. They get all this lovely, lovely cheap labour and the UK taxpayer gets, well, gets more people on the rock'n'roll. Brilliant! Now multiply such practice up and across all industry sectors. Great for those businesses, shit for the nation's economy."

Wealthier means you don’t have to concern yourself with cheaper cost of living…..no? Always some contradictory dickhead view from you….

Will only get worse under Labour. Luckily I’m nearer the end of my life than the beginning so I won’t see the UK become a Muslim country in my lifetime.

"I'm sure there's a lot of students that always return after their classes end don't they? Oh course immigration is now well over a million a year and the mostly wealthier, retired Brits leave for the sun and cheaper cost of living...."

"Think the figure is high because of all the foreign students at university, at least plus 400k I can't imagine UK university capacity has increased that much in recent years. Net legal migration has gone to 745, 000, for the most recent figures, from 329.000 in 2015, pre Brexit That's a shed load of extra college places."

Why is it allowed to happen that white British residents are in the minority in the two largest cities in the UK? Clearly you're all happy to be ruled by foreigners....

""" I really don’t think they should be included as they are in education and they are paying at lot more then British students to attend."" They totally should. My friend is a lecturer at a London university and he tells me his shorter courses, masters etc, are packed full of Indian and Chinese students who come to do the shortest course they can that qualifiers for a visa and spend their whole time searching for jobs so they can stay at the end of the course. They also apply to bring extended family over while they are here."
