Absolutely not. Rodriguez is a fucking joke

It’s 18th January today? We should have been sorting this mess out January 1st

criminal isnt it, and yes you would hope we've been at least scouting out players in positions where we are short, could we have FFP issues in making signings given what we spent?

Absolutely shocking. Gotta be some question marks on Potter with that line up.

My God, said it before. Rodriguez, Soucek and Alvarez in midfield is self harming

And Soler before Cresswell

Should have given Irving a go instead of Rodriguez, imo.

Good to see Kudus up top but he has to be up near the centre backs as it gives an out ball over the top to chase.

Tough this - if were going to get anything here we will have to be clinical in taking the chances we do get. So much work for Potter to do with the squad he has inherited and injurues and I certainly wont dig him out if we lose

Emerson will be the wingback, Cresswell inside.
Obviously... We we hope it's obvious..

That's what I meant nobody else for cb

I'd rather Casey start the game, I don't give a shit how old he is and his legs haven't gone

At least he is playing them on their stronger side by the looks of it.  Yeah sure we need an upgrade on Cress but at least he is a left sided defender rather than shoe horning a right footer in there, but by god we need some reinforcements.

FMOB! That is such a defensive lineup, only two forwards and I absolutely hated watching Cresswell in a back three under Moyes. I'm going to admit that Potter knows better than me, but I hate the look of that.

5 defenders, 2 defensive mids, and half our bench are kids. Halfway through the window with no sniff of a deal. Contrary to my predication last game, Potter did manage to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Irons!

It’s a reasonable point, even if in jest. I often thought he would be a good left back, and left in back three probably suited him more than a centre back pairing as well, which is where he could not get away with lapses in concentration.

Bare bones of our arse. Squad is embarassingly weak  but with 4 or so injuries looks “scorched earth” level quality.  Suppose Potter has to innovate and has come up with this. As mentioned, looking for creativity from wing backs?  Once again best to look at leveks of effort, closing down / pressing and running. If they are good we can be encouraged whatever the result because, to repeat, we have a appallingly poor squad for the money spent over the last few windows.

And rightly so, but Potter has little other option and may have a good plan. If it's shit then he does it again and again like Moyes then he will also get shit because of it.

Yep, but that's football fans for you, hypocritical and fickle. That said, I take the point about GP getting the benefit of the doubt, as he is more tactical than the fraud and gollom.

Will be keen to see if Rodders is of any use at all, wasn't he meant to be going to Betis?

Completely different circumstances. This is a new manager with a clean slate, and a fuck load of injuries. He’s done nothing to be doubted, yet. Moyes on the other hand was negative no matter the opposition, and by the end, had a card well and truly marked.
