"Or should i say they are attacking to get THEIR land back. Good luck to them. The World will watch and do nothing to help them as they always do, shame on us."

"MPI Only my missus has ever called me it on our honeymoon in 83. Fantastic night. So it would be weird. But i am all for free speech. I am just pointing out the hypocrisy. Of course you are allowed to reply to me, you were just privating messaging me a few mins ago. Bit weird. But remember this is a thread about Hamas and Israel"

This thread has disrespectfully drifted away from the original subject and back again in a manner that only WHO understands and accepts. During such drifts it pisses up every tree and lamp post it passes. This house believes that there is nothing to see here. Move on.

The middle East had been pretty stable and the Levant had successful wealthy trading cities. This kinda changed after the fall of the Ottomans after WW1 with the Brits and French imposing Nation states arbitrarily. That and the Zionists moving in has made it all a bit fucked up for a century ( except oil obvs).

"""Does anyone else think that maybe Putin and Russia have originated this conflict"" Only the seriously mentally ill I too agree that it is unlikely that Russia instigated this current conflict, but I did have an interesting view expressed to me by my daughter just the other day that it might have originated in China. Clearly, it needs to be asked why Hamas undertook such a terrible course of action at this time. There have been a number of theories put forward, from derailing the peace process with the Saudis to the more regional dissatisfaction of the Palestinians with the failure of the Hamas rule in Gaza. If you believe that these events are driven by wider Global factors then China's ambitions may be at play. It is well known that China has considerable financial connections and influence over Iran and Qatar who in turn are Hamas paymasters. China has designs on Taiwan. Accordingly, it would become easier for them to move in on Taiwan if the USA were to be embroiled in not just the Ukraine conflict but also in the Middle East. The US is still a Super Power but maybe not to the same extent as it once was. It is more vulnerable at present given the state of its domestic politics and that it won't cope with involvement on all three fronts All conjecture but not without some possibility. My daughter is not an expert in any of this but did study Geography at Cambridge albeit 20 years ago! A couple of years back she introduced me to the books of Tim Marshall ""The Prisoners of Geography"" and ""The Power of Geography."" These are both fascinating reads if you are interested in Global Politics and what is happening in the World. But given as I read elsewhere in this thread that the ""average person doesn't give a fuck"" you might not bother."

"Moncurs Putting Iron 10:46 Wed Oct 18 Re: Hamas attack Israel There are quite a few people on here on should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Not for their opinions, but for the pathetic nicknames they come up with for others, totally lacking in humour, wit and intelligence. Agree wholeheartedly, imagine typing “nazi dubs” at every opportunity. Fucking stinking patter."

"Willtell 12:26 Wed Oct 18 How likely was it him saying nothing because he actually had nothing to say, whatever you ""surmise""? There are situations going on in the world that pre-date the Hamas attack. Maybe the septic-in-chief wanted to share updates on those?"

Mike Oxsaw 10:31 My nephew is a very senior American secret service agent believe it or not. He was called into emergency meetings in Washington on 5th October- 2 days before Hamas attacked. He wouldn’t say anything other than “several warships were headed to the ME to make the world a safer place”. From this I surmise the septics knew what Hamas were up to which in turn means so did Israel…
