"I wouldn’t mind seeing Benny in a situation where he’s not hung out to dry by the manager. So often he was isolated with the ball on the left wing with no option but to either wait for support, take a player on, play a risky pass/take a potshot or turn back. Doesn’t have the speed of Bowen to get past or behind his man. I honestly think he’d have been a fair bit better under a different manager/style of play. You could say that about most of the team to be frank. And he had them all playing with fear, which is crippling for a player. Number one is sorting out Paqueta’s future. I do wonder if this manager move made now is to make it clear to the player(s) that change is coming and they don’t need to move heaven and earth to try and leave the club. It’s clear he had no interest in playing for Moyes any more so maybe we see a fresh player under a new regime. Although if he’s made up his mind regardless then there you go. Need to make sure we hang on to Kudus Bowen and Alvarez too. Everything else is a moveable feast. Most of the other players will be serviceable at least under a new manager and I do think we will see several look way better but agree with most that Cress, Oggy and a few others should go. Antonio I would keep but we need to bring in a new younger centre forward. To that end it’s a shame Scamacca wasn’t just on loan but there you go. Need to see the situation with Kehrer, Downes and a few others as well. Lots for J Lo to think about. Hopefully this has been in the works for a little while and he has been watching and already has some ideas."

"Manuel - yeah, don't deel strongly about Benrahma, just thought that it would be interesting to see how he would get on with a manager who appreciated him... Moyes seemed to dig him out even when he was one of our best players on occasions. With his fee added to the kitty that would be 200m... wisely spent that should bring in some decent quality and with TS there is a chance that it would be spent well."

We also need a decent bench. Moyes biggest failing.

"Ludo - If I could pick one thing from that it would be that I think we need to move on from Benrahma, he's surely not good enough, just stops the ball and passes backwards most of the time and awful finishing, and I doubt a new coach would change that at his age. Besides, I thought Lyon have an obligation to buy if they weren't relegated, could be wrong though."

"Hopefully we can get the majority of our transfer business done early. We need to hold onto Bowen, Kudus and Alvarez. I'd be happy to see the following go: Paqueta - 85m Soucek - 15-20m Zouma - 10m (to Saudi?) Ings Cresswell Ogbonna Kehrer - 10m Coufal (great servant but time to move on) Cornet - 5-10m (time to draw a line under it if we can get some funds in) Johnson Assuming we have a transfer fund of 50m anyway that should give us £180-190m to spend. I'd bring back: Downes Benrahma Irving Potts Integrate the best of the U21s and see how they get on in the period up to the close of the window in September. Need as a minimum a new RB, 2xCB, DM (though maybe Downes steps into that role), LW & Striker. Would be good to see the youth being given 20mins from the bench each week with 5 subs actually being used properly. Will give us a chance to see if any of the fringe players / U21s have what it takes."

"Reckon Fabianski has one more season in him as no2 keeper but Ogbonna, Cresswell, Ings obviously need to move on. Kehrer & Benrahma will be sold & to me Zouma’s knee spells the end … if we can get a fee. Big job for whoever takes over from Moyes"

"Areola is def good enough, Fab ok number 2 in new Season. Dinos is good enough to start with a new left sided CB, but get a young right sided CB to push him, keep one of Zouma or Aguerd as 4th choice, let Oggy go. Coufal not good enough to start, need a new RB, coufal to bench. Emerson good enough to start, new young LB to push him, let Cresswell and Johnson go. Alvarez ok, need another dynamic CM to relegate Soucek and JWP to the bench, bring back Downes. Bowen, Kudus and Paqueta ok, even Cornet may get time under a new coach? Need a new LW to challenge first team, Hudson Odi? or of that calibra. New striker needed to start, Ivan Toney type, keep Antonio to bench, maybe a 3rd striker to come in? Ings to go Areola New RB Dinos New CB Emerson Alvarez New CM Bowen Kudus Paqueta New CF"

"Looks to me like roughly half the squad need to be moved on. Can't see much to be gained by retaining Cresswell, Ogbonna, Zouma, Fabianski, Aguerd, or Ings. Benrahma and Kehrer all but gone already, Phillips loan all over (mercifully). Paqueta would have to convince new manager he wants to put in a shift, but 85 million looks very appealing. Soucek, Cornet......? Personally not convinced that Areola is good enough. Get Downes back, give Antonio one year, keep the rest (though seems like Johnson and Mubama have little interest in staying."

"Soucek is an interesting one, if the new manager wants us to play football, he's completely redundant. 29 years old now, perfect time to cash in and add to the transfer pot. Selling him, Aguerd and Paqueta will give the club a nice pot to play with."

I struggle to take anyone seriously when they suggest Cresswell should stay on another year.

Fullkrug under Moyes would of been a waste of time anyway. Exact same type as Haller

I read the other day that Steidten wanted Niclas F√ºllkrug but we didn't buy him because Moyes was holding out for Broja... Imagine having this cսnt fucking up our business again

"Geo did a vid with some fella called Frankie, seems a good bloke tbf, but was saying Cresswell should be given another year, then went on to say he wouldn't expect him to play and we should sign another LB, but his loyalty and dedication to the club merits another year and he will be a good bloke to have ''around the club''. The mind boggles. Looks like we will sign the Corinthians left winger, they are just haggling for a couple of more mil. meant to be mustard, but a big step up of course."

"It'll be sad to see Antonio go, as I've always liked him. Maybe one last pay day for him in Saudi and then returns to us as 'grinning coach'. He's been doing a fair bit of Media training at Salford Quays, so punditry will be his next career."

"West Ham is a professional football club , not a benevelant home for aging employees. But for too long we have been too skewed toward the latter . It’s time to lose the sentimentality and bring down the age profile. A big thanks to Ogbonna , Fab , Cresswell, Antonio . Careful with your millions in your retirement Or best of luck with your next gig to add to your pension pot ."

"I see talk of Cresswell staying another year. Out of all the old guard, feel that he is the one we need to say goodbye too. We need a RB and LB this summer in order to improve. Cresswell has been a great servant and signing for this club but it really is time for getting someone better in that position. No doubt we are starting to worry about our HG quota which isn’t looking good. Hope we are looking at some options from The championship as it has served us well in the past. No issue with Fabianski staying on for another year. He’s been solid and is still a very good number 2."

Not seen him before but Callum O'Hare only played the last 10 minutes for Coventry last night but was quite effective when he came on... similar style of play (and build) to Grealish. Spent the ten minutes mainly on the left.
