Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)
I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

If anyone wants proof that this bloke hasn’t a clue what he’s doing just take a look at his substitutions

Re: Lopetegui
Lopetegui clearly isn't the right man for this job. The steps we have taken is just to short considering what we have available.

We never used to do that.It was done on here when Allardyce was in charge. That was only a decade or so ago ...I'm talking about back in the day.
Okay..so you want him out already?.
You didn't want him in the first place and no matter what he does it'll never be good enough for you ?
I didn't want Moyes ..but was always fair with the deluded ego- maniac shit golfer wanker.
Yup that's fair. I wouldn't recall it from 20-30 years ago but then again I guess the internet wasn't really a thing, and far less coverage in general, and unless you were at a game you would have less of a clue about how we played seen as MOTD highlights for teams like us usually just consisted of the goals.
I'm similarly minded. Try and give any manager the benefit of the doubt where possible. Lop wasn't my choice but I' not going to cսnt him off for that unless it really starts going tits up and it's his fault. Has he done everything right? I'd say no, but he's really not been given an easy start at all by the fixture computer and there can't be many of us who would have truly expected us to have many more points than we do, given the sides we've played so far home and away.

his football isn't the most desireable to my eyes, but at least he isn't a cսnt about it like our last bloke.Forest made a canny signing in Milenkovic from our MATES in Florence.
as for Nuno , he was never a big enough 'name' for that lot and never stood a chance there...
Levy and Sullivan are very similar ..two cheeks of the same arse.
No manager stands a chance at that cesspit of a Football Club. Their fanbase crave Trophies more than Levy loves a pound note and yet as soon as get a decent manager in on the verge of silverware they sack them. For instance Pochettino straight after a close Final in the Champions League Final/or a few points from winning the League in 2017 or serial Cup winning Mourinho who was moronically sacked on the eve of a Cup Final only to install a total novice in charge instead.

I partially agree. I think we have looked very comfortable when pressing the opposition camped in their half forcing turnover like on Saturday but when that ball and opposition players get in to the spaces behind the advanced midfield is when I begin to feel uneasy especially when we have treacle toes Rodriguez marshalling oceans of space either side of him at times. And in the Premier League you'll get swallowed up and exploited with ease.
If it was say a Declan Rice playing that role then OK I can relax a bit more and see it makes sense, however we've persisted with a 30yo inexperienced Premier League Midfielder in Rodriguez. Alvarez is a significant improvement granted just as long as he remembers to try and stay in the field.
I feel against lesser opposition like Ipswich, the 4141 formation can work well through lack of quality. Against tougher opposition like Spurs up next, we are going to need at least 2 holding Midfielders and possibly might even need 3 compact Midfielders bossing the central part of the pitch. Go with just Rodriguez then we are asking for trouble...

Many questioned his decision to leave them but I always felt he was entitled to leave on the basis of broken promises and a failure to properly invest.
Wolves owners have asset stripped their Club by selling important players like Kilman, Neto this summer and Neves the summer before that. Lopetegui knew this would happen and was wise to fuck them off having been fed lies to begin with.

Funny one Wolves, had this sort of meteoric rise with a combo of their owners and that agent (Mendes?) particularly with bringing those Portuguese players through and selling them on. Now it's just all ceased. Dodginess somewhere. You'd have thought they might continue what looked a successful business model unless they were breaking some rules somewhere?

But that's all part of being a football fan today, your highs and lows CAN change on the back of one result. We're buzzing for Spurs now, but had we lost to the tractor boys there would be relegation talk now and calling for Lopo's head , love it or hate it that's just how it is these days.

Re: Lopetegui
Ferret - not exactly dissimilar to those calling for a manager to be sacked after defeats to three of last season’s top 6 including the Champions for the last four seasons and who have all started in the same form, currently occupying places in the top 5, is it?

The way the filth leave gaps when they attack . Gives me hope for the game . I just fear he's going to pick a jet lagged Antonio and that really is like playing with 10 men . Not once has he played even semi decently after playing for Jamaica. Fullkrug needs to start that one if fit .
