"Soucek should be nowhere near it. There is nothing he can do that the other 3 can't. In a game where we won't see much of the ball, you can't have your worst ball player playing if you want to get a result"

"Games after the intl breaks can be slightly different to what you'd normally expect and Guardiola has been away, so we ''might'' be catching them at a good time, couple that with our good start and we might get something, but as we saw a few years back we were hanging on for a draw after being 2 up, so realistically a defeat, but def some hope there, and of course you always need that bit of luck. As for the team and how we set up, I'd rather wait and say than analyze it to death, but suspect Soucek will be back in."

Coufal picked up a knock at the weekend. No idea how bad but must be a doubt. If so will probably make it more likely that Moyes will go three at the back. Alvarez playing on Wednesday morning in the States so likely late back. Probably have 3 CBs plus Soucek and Alvarez so just have to hope that Bowen and Antonio still have their shooting boots on. Can’t see Kudus starting. Bizarrely I’m still optimistic that we will get something from the game.

"I can already hear the commentator: ""Haaland has been well shackled for 90 minutes but all he needed was half a chance with virtually the last kick if the game and...boy! Didn't he take it well!"" Which is slightly better than ""15 minutes played and Haaland is already on a hat trick!"""

"Our midfield three of JWP, Alvarez and Paqueta have earnt their right to maintain their positions. I know football is a game of opinions, but if Moyes drops one of those three for Soucek, then he is an idiot. If he changes a winning formation to a midfield four to accommodate Soucek then he is also an idiot. I hope, for once, common sense and sanity prevails. The game may develop so that there is an opportunity for Soucek. But up to that, in my opinion, he needs to wait. And you can bet your bottom dollar Moyes is racking his brains as to how to start Soucek when he should be looking at how to start Kudus."

"unbalancing the team because he refuses to make soucek a bench player, still no idea where to play kudus and mavropanos 'not ready' on planet moyes yet ready enough to score two goals for greece. deep joy"

Soucek should be nowhere near the starting line up but he will and it will weaken us as Paqueta is moved from where he's best to accommodate him and will limit our chances of hitting them on the break. He'll get nowhere near any of their players.
